AIR FORCE

Northrop Grumman Corp., Rolling Meadows, Ill., is being awarded a $24,500,000 firm-fixed-price contract to provide for 15 Low Altitude Infrared Targeting and Navigating II pods applicable to the AV-8B aircraft. This effort supports Marine Corps requirements (9 pods), and foreign military sales to Italy (4 pods), and Spain (2 pods). This work will be performed at Northrop Grumman, Rolling Meadows, Ill. (55%) and at Rafael Missile Division, Haifa, Israel (45%). The work is expected to be completed March 2002. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, is the contracting authority (F33657-00/C-2114).

ARMY

J & J Maintenance Inc., Austin, Texas, is being awarded an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity, time and materials, firm-fixed-price task order contract with an estimated ceiling of $31,667,000 (base year and four one-year options). An appropriation number and dollar value will be issued with each task order. The contractor will provide operation and maintenance and incidental repair and replacement services under the Operation and Maintenance Engineering Enhancement Program, to government medical facilities. Work will be performed at various locations in the continental United States, Alaska, and Hawaii, and is expected to be completed by April 20, 2004. There was a full and open competition on Aug. 30, 1999, and nine bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Huntsville, Ala., is the contracting activity (DACA87-00-D-0002).

Conner Brothers Construction Co. Inc., Auburn, Ala., is being awarded an $8,473,310 firm-fixed-price contract for construction of the Special Operations Forces Ranger Regimental Headquarters. The project consists of construction of four separate buildings, supporting parking lots, landscaping, utilities, antenna tower, and emergency generator. Work will be performed at Fort Benning, Ga., and is expected to be completed by Nov. 24, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 69 bids solicited on Dec. 13, 1999, and seven bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah, Ga., is the contracting activity (DACA21-00-C-0021).

CIVIL WORKS - NON MILITARY

Bean Stuyvesant, LLC, New Orleans, La., is being awarded a $500,000 increment as part of an $18,959,913 firm-fixed-price contract for dredging the lower bayou, Houston-Galveston Navigation Channels, Texas. The project consists of maintenance and new work dredging, earthwork, embankment construction, geotextile installation, stone placement, and construction of drop-outlet structures. Work will be performed in Chambers and Harris Counties, Texas, and is expected to be completed by Oct. 31, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 37 bids solicited on Feb. 15, 2000, and three bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Galveston, Texas, is the contracting activity (DACW64-00-C-0013).
