ARMY

United Information Systems Inc.*, Bethesda, Md., is being awarded an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity, cost-plus-fixed-fee/fixed-price labor hours contract with a cumulative total of $202,741,504 (if all options are exercised, base year plus four years), for Technology Solution Support, Lot IV. An appropriation number and dollar value will be issued with each delivery order. The contractor will provide support for identifying, selecting, evaluating, and acquiring new and innovative commercial-off-the-shelf products and methods for meeting the information system needs of the Military Health Services System. The Lot IV services will support and provide technical assistance as required for the design, development, deployment, operations and maintenance for on-going and future automation initiatives for the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs. Work will be performed in Bethesda, Md. (75%), and at various locations inside and outside of the continental United States (25%), and is expected to be completed by May 5, 2005. There were 299 bids solicited on Feb. 26. 1997, and seven bids were received. The Defense Supply Service-Washington, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity (DASW01-00-D-3013).

Base Technologies Inc.*, McLean, Va., is being awarded an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity, cost-plus-fixed-fee/fixed-price labor hours contract with a cumulative total of $192,122,520 (if all options are exercised, base year plus four years), for Technology Solution Support, Lot IV. An appropriation number and dollar value will be issued with each delivery order. The contractor will provide support for identifying, selecting, evaluating, and acquiring new and innovative commercial-off-the-shelf products and methods for meeting the information system needs of the Military Health Services System. Griffin Services Inc.*, Atlanta, Ga., is being awarded a cost-plus-award-fee contract with a base year total of $4,410,233 and a cumulative total of $22,217,060 (includes four option years). This is a conditional award under OMB Circular A76 (Performance of Commercial Activities). The contractor will provide logistical and public works functions consisting of mobilization, deployment and contingency operations; environmental services; facilities maintenance and repair; transportation; supply and services; equipment maintenance services; and automation and administration. Work will be performed at Fort McPherson, Ga. (45%); Fort Gillem, Ga. (45%), and U.S. Army Recreational Area, Lake Allatoona, Ga. (10%), and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There was an announcement on the World Wide Web on March 1, 1999, and three bids were received. The U.S. Army Forces Command, Fort McPherson, Ga., is the contracting activity (DAKF11-00-C-0006).

Sikorsky Aircraft Co., Stratford, Conn., is being awarded a $20,262,236 modification to firm-fixed-price contract DAAJ09-97-C-0005, for 13 Black Hawk helicopters (Navy CH-60S). Work will be performed in Stratford, Conn., and is expected to be completed by Nov. 30, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Jan. 13, 2000. The U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity.

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Truman Arnold Companies*, Temple, Texas, was awarded on May 2, 2000, a $8,255,710 fixed-price-with-economic-price-adjustment contract for gasoline, regular, unleaded, MUR. Four hundred fifteen proposals were solicited and twenty-six were received. Worked will be performed in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina and South Carolina and is expected to be completed by March 31, 2003. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Energy Support Center, Fort Belvoir, Va., is the contracting activity (SP0600-00-D-4021).

NAVY

Lockheed Martin Tactical Defense Systems, Archbald, Pa., is being awarded a $5,552,222 modification to previously awarded firm fixed price contract N00019-99-C-1648 for the procurement of 2,327 laser guided training rounds, a low cost round that simulates the guidance and flight characteristics of the PAVEWAY II laser guided bomb. Work will be performed in Archbald, Pa., and is expected to be completed by October 2001. Contract funds would not have expired at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.
