NAVY

Maersk Line, Limited, Norfolk, Va., is being awarded two $64,799,680 firm-fixed-price time charter contracts, with reimbursables, for two container vessels (the ex-Newark Bay and the ex-OOCL Innovations - both to be re-named) to carry ammunition in the U.S. government's prepositioning program, which entails the vessels being strategically located worldwide during the respective contract periods. Work will be performed in waters worldwide, and is expected to be completed by May 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via the Military Sealift Command e-commerce website and through Commerce Business Daily with over 250 proposals solicited and five offers received. The Military Sealift Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity (N00033-00-C-3201 and N00033-00-C-3202).

W. B. Meredith II, Inc.*, Norfolk, Va., is being awarded a $15,647,846 firm-fixed-price contract for construction of two bachelor enlisted quarters at Norfolk Naval Shipyard. This contract contains options which, if exercised, would bring the total cumulative value of this contract to $32,726,419. Work will be performed in Portsmouth, Va., and is expected to be completed by May 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 139 proposals solicited and nine offers received. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Atlantic Division, Norfolk, Va., is the contracting activity (N62470-98-C-8020).

McDonnell Douglas Corp., a wholly owned subsidiary of the Boeing Company, St. Louis, Mo., is being awarded a $5,227,473 modification to previously awarded contract N68335-97-C-0090 for the production of 25 operational test program sets for the consolidated automated support system. Work will be performed in St. Louis, Mo., and is expected to be completed in November 2001. Contract funds in the amount of $401,984 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

United Medical Supply*, Fort Worth, Texas, is being awarded a $60,623,198 requirements contract for medical and surgical supplies under the Prime Vendor program. Work will be performed in Lubbock, Texas; Fort Worth, Texas; San Antonio, Texas; Sugar Land, Texas; Oklahoma City, Okla.; and El Paso, Texas, and is expected to be completed by May 31, 2001. The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SP0200-97-D-7133/7134).

Exxon Mobil Fuels Marketing Company, Fairfax, Va., was awarded on May 19, 2000, an $8,284,520 fixed-price-with-economic-price-adjustment contract for aviation turbine fuel, grade JP8. Work will be performed in Baton Rouge, La., and is expected to be completed by June 30, 2000. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Energy Support Center, Fort Belvoir, Va., is the contracting activity (SP0600-00-D-0492).

AIR FORCE

Science Applications International Corp., San Diego, Calif., is being awarded a $50,000,000 (maximum) indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to provide for 29 major upgrades to the worldwide seismic sensor network used to monitor nuclear detonation and testing, seismic network sustainment, and installation of four new seismic array sites. Further funds will be obligated as individual delivery orders are issued. The Air Force may issue delivery orders totaling up to the maximum amount indicated above, though actual requirements may necessitate less than that amount. There were 30 firms solicited and three proposals received. Expected contract completion date is May 2004. Solicitation issue date was Jan. 6, 2000. Negotiation completion date was May 16, 2000. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-00-D-5700).

DynCorp Information and Enterprise Technology, Reston, Va., is being awarded a $25,000,000 (maximum), indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to provide for end-to-end personnel security investigations services in support of the Defense Security Service. The contractor will perform security background investigations of government and contractor personnel and will compile and provide appropriate reports of investigation to the government. Funds will be obligated as individual delivery orders are issued. The Air Force may issue delivery orders in values totaling up to the maximum amount indicated above, though actual requirements may necessitate less than this amount. There was one firm solicited and one proposal received. Expected contract completion date is January 2002. Solicitation issue date was Feb. 29, 2000. Negotiation completion date was May 19, 2000. The 11th Contracting Squadron, Bolling AFB, DC, is the contracting activity (F49642-00-D5002).
