NAVY

Litton-Avondale Industries, Inc., New Orleans, La., is being awarded a $477,675,955 cost-plus-incentive-fee option for the construction of the LPD 20, the fourth ship of the LPD 17 class amphibious transport dock ship. Work will be performed in New Orleans, La. (83%); San Diego, Calif. (12.2%); Waynesboro, Va. (4.6%); and Bath, Maine (.2%), and is expected to be completed by December 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (N00024-97-C-2202).

Bell-Boeing Joint Program Office, Patuxent River, Md., is being awarded a $15,097,908 modification to a previously awarded contract N00019-93-C-0006 for management and technical support for two MV-22 engineering and manufacturing development aircraft. Work will be performed in Patuxent River, Maryland, and is expected to be completed in June 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland is the contracting activity.

Systems and Electronics, Inc., St. Louis, Mo., is being awarded an $11,360,337 modification to previously awarded contract N00189-95-C-0333 to exercise an option for the production of 19 AWG-9 and 25 ALQ-99 Operational Test Program Sets for the Consolidated Automated Support System. Work will be performed in St. Louis, Mo.(80%) and Sanford, Fla. (20%), and is expected to be completed by February 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md. is the contracting activity.

Lockheed Martin Naval Electronics and Surveillance Systems, St. Paul, Minn., is being awarded a $6,975,556 firm-fixed price contract for the procurement of 17 AN/AYK-23 data processing sets for the S-3B aircraft. Work will be performed in Eagan, Minn., and is expected to be completed by November 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00019-00-C-0119).

Veridian Engineering, Inc., Buffalo, N.Y., is being awarded a $5,239,045 modification to previously awarded contract N00421-96-C-1134 to exercise an option for an estimated 111,350 hours of support services for the Atlantic Ranges and Facilities Department of the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, Md. Work will be performed in Patuxent River, Md., and is expected to be completed by June 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, Md. is the contracting activity.

AIR FORCE

Lockheed Martin Corp., Sunnyvale, Calif., is being awarded a $98,000,000 firm-fixed-price contract to create a teaming arrangement consisting of Lockheed Martin; TRW Inc., Redondo Beach, Calif.; and Hughes Space and Communications Co., El Segundo, Calif. This action enables the contract team to perform the system definition phase of the advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF) satellite communication system. The AEHF system provides secure, survivable communications to warfighters during all levels of conflict and is the protected backbone of DOD's military satellite communication architecture. This modification combines two system definition efforts into the current teaming arrangement. The work is expected to be completed March 2001. Space and Missile Systems Center, Los Angeles AFB, Calif. is the contracting activity (F04701-99/C-0027, P00005).

ARMY

Black and Veatch, Overland Park, Kan., is being awarded $14,211,367 as part of an estimated $32,934,856 (if all options are exercised) cost-plus-award-fee contract for an automated inventory control and management system. Work will be performed in Moscow, Russia (80%), and Overland Park, Kan. (20%), and is expected to be completed by May 30, 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 33 bids solicited on Sept. 17, 1999, and four bids were received. The Defense Threat Reduction Agency, Dulles, Va., is the contracting activity (DTRA01-00-C-0021).
