NAVY

Southwest Marine Inc., San Diego, Calif., is being awarded a $127,826,488 cost-plus-award-fee contract for the AGF 11, LPD 4, and LSD 36 class phased maintenance programs. Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif., and is expected to be completed by October 2005. Contract funds in the amount of $197,453 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured through the internet with two proposals solicited and two offers received. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (N00024-00-C-8505).

Austin Company, Houston, Texas, is being awarded an $18,117,000 firm-fixed-price design/build contract for the construction of a C-17 corrosion control facility at Charleston Air Force Base. This contract contains options, which, if exercised, would bring the total cumulative value of this contract to $18,184,000. Work will be performed in Charleston, S.C., and is expected to be completed by December 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 59 proposals solicited and 11 offers received. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Southern Division, North Charleston, N.C., is the contracting activity (N62467-98-C-1049).

ARMY

TRW Inc., Tactical Systems Division, Systems & Information Technology Group, Carson, Calif., is being awarded $7,300,000 as part of a $37,899,000 firm-fixed-price/time and materials multi-year contract for Battlefield Combat Identification Systems (BCIS). The BCIS has demonstrated an effective, affordable technological solution to reduce fratricide and is an integral part of the Army's digitization effort for combat identification. Work will be performed in Redondo Beach, Calif., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 1, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Jan. 24, 2000. The U.S. Army Communications & Electronics Command, Fort Monmouth, N.J., is the contracting activity (DAAB07-00-C-J005)

The Boeing Co., Huntsville, Ala., was awarded on June 9, 2000, a $25,028,275 modification to firm-fixed-price contract DAAH01-98-C-0077, to exercise an option for 25 Avenger fire units for Egypt. The Avenger fire unit is a lightweight, highly mobile and air transportable platform that uses a Stinger missile and a 50-caliber machine gun for armament. Work will be performed in Huntsville, Ala., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on March 5, 1999. The U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity.

Tanner Heavy Equipment Co. Inc.*, Leesville, La., was awarded $40,000 on June 12, 2000, as part of a $10,000,000 firm-fixed-price requirements contract for correction of erosion and drainage. The project includes demolition and construction of storm water collection systems, removal of existing curb and gutters, removal of trees and stumps, construction of various types of inlet structures, construction of manholes, pavement replacement, and work site restoration. Work will be performed at Fort Hood, Texas, and is expected to be completed by June 12, 2006. There was an announcement on the World Wide Web on March 15, 2000, and seven bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Worth, Texas, is the contracting activity (DACA63-00-D-0005).

CIVIL WORKS - NON MILITARY

Brown & Root Services, Houston, Texas, is being awarded $500,000 as part of a not-to-exceed $70,000,000 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for the establishment of temporary expansion facilities to augment existing Immigration and Naturalization Service facilities in the event of a significant influx of undocumented aliens into the United States. Work will be performed in the continental United States, all United States territories, commonwealths, possessions, and protectorates, and is expected to be completed by June 13, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There was an announcement on the World Wide Web on Nov. 26, 1999, and two bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Worth, Texas, is the contracting activity (DACW63-00-D-0013).

Granite Construction Co., Watsonville, Calif., is being awarded a $550,000 increment as part of a $43,378,505 firm-fixed-price contract for construction of an auxiliary gated spillway, Phase II. Work will be performed at Table Rock Lake, Taney County, Mo., and is expected to be completed by June 12, 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 173 bids solicited on March 6, 2000, and six bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Little Rock, Ark., is the contracting activity (DACW03-00-C-0022).

AIR FORCE

Raytheon Company, Goleta, Calif., is being awarded a $33,914,660 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract to provide for the following in support of the AN/ALE-50(V) countermeasures system: 97 mass model test units for the Navy; 289 1x2 launcher/controllers, 203 magazines, and 33 Fault Isolation System Testers applicable to the F-16 aircraft; 50 1x4 Dual Compatible Launchers, and 146 magazines applicable to the B-1 aircraft; and associated test equipment and warranties. Expected contract completion date is July 30, 2002. Warner Robins Air Logistics Center, Robins AFB, Ga., is the contracting activity (F33657-98-C-0036-P00037).

Lockheed Martin Corp., Fort Worth, Texas, is being awarded a $24,783,000 (not-to-exceed) modification to a firm-fixed-price contract to provide for incorporation of new capabilities and enhancements into the development effort for the Operational Flight Program Tape 4 for the F-16 aircraft. This effort supports foreign military sales to Taiwan. Expected contract completion date is Sept. 30, 2003. Negotiation completion date was Nov. 21, 2000. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-90-C-2002-P00704).
