NAVY

McDonnell Douglas Corp., a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, St. Louis, Mo., is being awarded an $8,959,053,061 modification to convert a previously awarded advance acquisition contract N00019-99-C-1226 to a definitized firm-fixed-price incentive fee multi-year contract that will cover the procurement of 222 F/A-18E/F aircraft over a 5-year period. Work will be performed in St. Louis, Mo. (60%), Los Angeles, Calif. (40%), and is expected to be completed by September 2006. Contract funds will not expire by the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

BAE Systems Applied Technologies, Rockville, Md., is being awarded a $7,745,430 modification to previously awarded cost plus fixed fee term contract N00421-97-C-1460 to exercise an option for technical and engineering services for the integration and testing of radio communications systems for shipboard installation. The estimated level of effort for this option is 191,880 man-hours. Work will be performed in California, Md. (80%), St. Inigoes, Md. (10%), Bath, Maine (5%), and Pascagoula, Miss. (5%), and is expected to be completed by June 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

AIR FORCE

Lockheed Martin Corp., Orlando, Fla., is being awarded a $7,148,944 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract to provide for upgrade of visual system displays on three weapon system trainers supporting the C-130 aircraft. Expected contract completion date is Dec. 31, 2001. Ogden Air Logistics Center, Hill AFB, Utah, is the contracting activity (F42630-99-C-0195-P00015).

ARMY

Paul S. Akins Co. Inc.*, Statesboro, Ga., is being awarded a $6,936,600 firm-fixed-price contract for construction of a composite support complex for the 165 Air Wing. Work will be performed at the Georgia Air National Guard facility, Savannah, Airport, Garden City, Ga., and is expected to be completed by July 1, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 17 bids solicited on March 9, 2000, and eight bids were received. The U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Atlanta, Ga., is the contracting activity (DAHA09-00-C-0025).
