ARMY

Royal Ordnance North America Inc., Kingsport, Tenn., is being awarded a $19,506,343 delivery order amount as part of firm-fixed-price contract DAAA09-98-D-0005, for the manufacture of 1,995,183 pounds of Comp C-4, Class 3 (tagged) and 647,953 pounds of CXM-7 explosives, to support ammunition requirements for all military services. Work will be performed at the Holston Army Ammunition Plant, Kingsport, Tenn., and is expected to be completed by Oct. 31, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Feb. 17, 2000. The U.S. Army Armament, Munitions & Chemical Command, Rock Island, Ill., is the contracting activity.

General Dynamics Government Systems Corp., Taunton, Mass., is being awarded a $13,299,630 modification to firm-fixed-price contract DAAB07-94-C-N853, to exercise options for common hardware/software items for project manager Army Tactical Command and Control Systems computers and associated peripherals for battlefield commanders. Work will be performed in Taunton, Mass., and is expected to be completed by April 10, 2005. There were 50 bids solicited on April 21, 1994 and three bids were received. The U.S. Army Communications & Electronics Command, Fort Monmouth, N.J., is the contracting activity.

Contrack International Inc., Arlington, Va., is being awarded an $11,775,768 firm-fixed-price contract for construction of an Operations Center at the U.S. Naval Support Activity, Bahrain. Work will be performed in Bahrain (90%), and Arlington, Va. (10%), and is expected to be completed by Jan. 15, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 33 bids solicited on March 14, 2000, and eight bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Winchester, Va., is the contracting activity (DACA78-00-C-0014).

NAVY

C. E. Wylie Construction Company, San Diego, Calif., is being awarded a $7,541,000 task order under a firm-fixed price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity solution order concept construction contract for construction of a highbay automated warehouse at Marine Corps Air Station, Camp Pendleton. Work will be performed in Oceanside, Calif., and is expected to be completed by August 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The basic contract was competitively procured with 50 proposals solicited, five offers received, and award made to multiple contractors on 30 September 1998. The total basic contract amount is not to exceed $90,000,000 (base year and two option years). The multiple contractors (three in number) may compete for task orders under the terms and conditions of the existing contract. One offer was received for this task order. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Southwest Division, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity (N68711-98-D-5331).

AIR FORCE

General Electric Aircraft Engines, Cincinnati, Ohio, is being awarded a $6,629,100 firm-fixed-price contract to provide for 114 high-pressure turbine disks applicable to the F110 engine on the F-16 engine. There was one firm solicited and one proposal received. Expected contract completion date is January 2001. Solicitation issue date was Feb. 16, 2000. Negotiation completion date was June 13, 2000. Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center, Tinker AFB, Okla., is the contracting activity (F34601-97-G-0002-0413).
