ARMY

Johnson Controls World Services Inc., Cape Canaveral, Fla., was awarded a cost-reimbursement plus award-fee contract on July 7, 2000, for $21,502,683 (first year estimated) as part of a $107,513,415 (total of first year plus four option years). The contractor will perform non-personal installation support services in 16 major functional activities at Fort Gordon, Ga., the Fort Gordon Recreational area at Thurmond Lake, and other off-post activities. Major functional areas include mobilization and contingency plans, resource management, facilities maintenance and repairs, environmental services, grounds and surfaced areas, pest control services, transportation services, housing services, supply services, maintenance of communications-electronics equipment, and maintenance of vehicle and general support equipment. Work will be performed at Fort Gordon, Ga., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2001. There was an announcement on the Directorate of Contracting Internet Web Page on Oct. 20, 1999, and two bids were received. Saco Defense Corp.*, Saco, Maine, is being awarded a $13,757,823 firm-fixed-price, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract for 952 M2 Machine Guns, 400 Bolt Sub-Assemblies, and 4,618 Barrels. Work will be performed in Saco, Maine, and is expected to be completed by March 30, 2003. Of the total contract funds, $2,437,260 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There was a full and open solicitation on June 23, 1999, and five bids were received. Silver Bullet Solutions, Inc., San Diego, Calif., is being awarded a $25,421,514 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract with cost-plus-fixed-fee pricing for research and development for command, control, communications and intelligence (C4I) software applications and databases. Specific efforts include engineering products related to C4I software applications and database or database management systems for current and new C4I systems. The contractor will be teaming with Systems Research and Applications Corp., Fairfax, Va., a wholly owned subsidiary of SRA International, Inc. Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif., and is expected to be completed July 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
