ARMY

Alliant Techsystems Integrated Defense Co., LLC, Hopkins, Minn., is being awarded a $6,946,000 increment as part of a $95,426,483 cost-plus-award-fee contract for research and development to advance the state-of-the-art Objective Individual Combat Weapon (OICW), Program Definition and Risk Reduction (PD&RR). Work will be performed in Hopkins, Minn., and is expected to be completed in the third quarter of FY04. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There was an announcement in the Commerce Business Daily on Nov. 5, 1999, and one bid was received. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command, Picatinny Arsenal, N.J., is the contracting activity (DAAE30-00-C-1065).

DynCorp Technical Services, Fort Worth, Texas, is being awarded a $20,710,932 increment as part of a $22,876,533 firm-fixed-price with cost reimbursable line items contract for life cycle contractor support for C-12/XC-12/UC-35 aircraft. Work will be performed in Fort Worth, Texas, and is expected to be completed by Jan. 31, 2001. Of the total contract funds, $19,453,865 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There was an announcement in the Commerce Business Daily on March 8, 2000, and two bids were received. The U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (DAAH23-00-C-0226).

Urban Associates Inc.*, El Paso, Texas, is being awarded a $12,691,085 firm-fixed-price contract for construction of an Army Strategic Mobility Program (ASMP) Air Deployment Facility Complex, including a sentry station, personnel processing center with passenger holding area, administrative area, supply room, classroom (40 student capacity), break room, conference room and amnesty booth areas (800 personnel capacity). The center will also provide meal preparation and informal dining facilities, male and female restrooms with showers, etc., and will include the addition of two bays to the Biggs Fire Station and supporting facilities. Work will be performed at the ASMP Air Deployment Facility Complex, Fort Bliss, Texas, and is expected to be completed by Dec. 24, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There was an announcement on the World Wide Web on May 22, 2000, and seven bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Worth, Texas, is the contracting activity (DACA63-00-C-0022).

CIVIL WORKS - NON MILITARY

Angelo Lafrate, Kenner, La., is being awarded a $100,000 increment as part of a $13,919,704 firm-fixed-price contract for the Southeast Louisiana Project; Hollygrove area drainage improvements, railroad embankment and Eagle St. covered canal. Work will be performed in New Orleans, La., and is expected to be completed by July 27, 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 148 bids solicited on Feb. 10, 2000, and four bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans, La., is the contracting activity (DACW29-00-C-0076).

Ortiz Enterprises Inc., Irvine, Calif., was awarded on Aug. 3, 2000, a $450,000 increment as part of a $5,555,555 firm-fixed-price contract for Burlington Northern Santa Fe Bridge reconstruction. Work will be performed in Pico Rivera, Calif., Rio Hondo at River Station 268+33.33, Los Angeles, Calif., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 1, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There was an announcement on the World Wide Web on April 10, 2000, and seven bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Los Angeles, Calif., is the contracting activity (DACW09-00-C-0008).

AIR FORCE

Computer Sciences Corp., (CSC), Albuquerque, NM; and Science Application International Corp., (SAIC), Albuquerque, NM, are being awarded a $64,225,989 ($36,029,038 maximum to Computer Sciences Corporation; $28,196,951 maximum to Science Applications International) indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to provide for support services through Aug. 5, 2003 for the Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Center, Kirtland AFB, NM. This effort will include mission area research, task decomposition, test planning, test execution and management, and report of technical and scientific efforts in support of operational test and evaluation activities. Funds will be obligated as individual delivery orders are issued. The Air Force can award delivery orders totaling up to the maximum amounts indicated above, though actual requirements may necessitate less than those amounts. Expected contract completion date is Aug. 5, 2003. Solicitation issue date was Jan. 10, 2000. Negotiation completion date was June 12, 2000. Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Center, Kirtland AFB, NM, is the contracting activity (FA7046-00-D-0004, CSC; FA7046-00-D-0005, SAIC).

NAVY

JAJMS/CH2M Hill (a joint venture) Charlotte, N.C., is being awarded a $50,000,000 firm-fixed price indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract with a guaranteed minimum of $10,000,000, to provide public works related maintenance, operation, repair, and construction services including incidental, planning, and engineering on an as-needed basis at various federal installations. This contract includes options, which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to $250,000,000. Work will be performed at Navy and Marine Corps installations in Calif. (90%), and other as yet to be determined locations within Ariz., Nev., and N.M. (10%), and is expected to be completed by August 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 150 proposals solicited and two offers received. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Southwest Division, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity (N68711-00-D-0701).

Technautics, Inc., Chantilly, Va., being awarded a $20,223,635 cost plus fixed fee indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to provide technical and specialty engineering support services for Naval Special Warfare (NSW) development and acquisition programs and life cycle management support of various NSW systems. Work will be performed in Panama City, Fl. (90%) and Tampa, Fl. (10%), and is expected to be completed by August 2005. Contract funds in the amount of $100,000 will expire the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via the Internet, with four offers received. The Naval Surface Warfare Center Coastal Systems Station-Dahlgren, Division, Panama City, Fl., is the contracting activity (N61331-00-D-0042).

EER Systems, Inc., Chantilly, Va., is being awarded a $5,505,609 cost-plus-fixed-fee, delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for engineering, technical, and management support services for Command and Control (C2) Systems program. This contract includes options, which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to $28,315,355. Work will be performed in Charleston, SC. (80%) and Lemoore, Calif. (20%) and is expected to be completed by August 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via the SPAWA E-commerce web page with three offers received. The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Charleston, SC., is the contracting activity (N65236-00-D-7814).

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Fuji Medical Systems, Stamford, Conn., is being awarded a $50,000,000 indefinite quantity contract for x-ray systems, sub systems and components. Nineteen proposals were solicited and nineteen were received. Work is expected to be completed by Aug. 3, 2001. The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SP0200-96-D-8059).

Doughtie's-Sysco Food Services, Inc., is being awarded a $12,400,000 indefinite quantity contract for full-line food distribution. Forty eight proposals were solicited and three were received. Work is expected to be completed by Sept. 7, 2001. The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SP0300-00-D-2990).
