NAVY

ITT Night Vision, Roanoke, Va., is being awarded a $13,170,176 firm-fixed-price contract for 2,252 AN/AVS-9 Night Vision Image Intensifier Sets for various Navy platforms. Work will be performed in Roanoke, Va., and is expected to be completed by August 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via an electronically issued solicitation with eight proposals solicited and two offers received. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00019-00-C-0444).

TRW Aeronautical Systems/Lucas Aerospace, Utica, N.Y., is being awarded a $6,912,658 firm-fixed-price contract for 1,306 power transmission shafts used in support of F/A-18 C/D aircraft. Work will be performed in Utica, N.Y., and is expected to be completed by December 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Inventory Control Point, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (N00383-00-C-003D).

Rockwell Collins Government Systems, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, is being awarded a $6,493,564 modification to previously awarded contract N00019-00-C-0115 to exercise an option for 124 AN/ARC-210(V) Electronic Protection Radio Systems. This option combines the purchases for the U.S. Navy (41 systems; $2,018,856; 31%) the U.S Air Force (45 systems; $2,725,004; 42%) the U.S. Army (12 systems; $587,868; 9%) and the Government of Australia (26 systems; $1,161,836; 18%) under the Foreign Military Sales Program. Work will be performed in Cedar Rapids, Iowa (80%) and Coralville, Iowa (20%), and is expected to be completed by December 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

Erickson-Hall Construction Company*, Escondido, Calif., is being awarded a $5,918,520 firm-fixed price task order under a multiple award construction contract for construction of a 39,000 square foot Measurement Science Laboratory at Naval Weapons Assessment Station, Corona. Work will be performed in Corona, California, and is expected to be completed by March 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The basic contract was competitively procured with 46 proposals solicited, 19 offers received and award made to multiple contractors on 31 March 1999. The basic total contract amount is not to exceed $150,000,000 (base period and two option years). The multiple contractors (four in number) may compete for task orders under the terms and conditions of the existing contract. Four offers were received for this task order. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Southwest Division, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity (N68711-99-D-6204).

ARMY

J. B. Denny Co., Virginia Beach, Va., is being awarded $6,205,797 (base year total) as part of a $13,431,214 (total if all options are exercised) firm-fixed-price contract for construction of a new dormitory, including site work, concrete pallet and down spout. Work will be performed at Langley Air Force Base, Va., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 31, 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 75 bids solicited on Jan. 18, 2000, and 11 bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Norfolk, Va., is the contracting activity (DACA65-00-C-0033).

The Lane Construction Co., Meriden, Conn., is being awarded a $12,315,000 firm-fixed-price contract for construction of an Instrument Flight Rules runway, new parallel taxiway, three new connecting taxiways, a helipad and expansion to a portion of the existing apron. The project also includes tree clearing and pavement demolition. Work will be performed at Fort Campbell, Ky., and is expected to be completed by April 30, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 110 bids solicited on June 8, 2000, and four bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville, Ky., is the contracting activity (DACA27-00-C-0070.

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Engineered Fabrics Corporation, Rockmart, Ga., is being awarded a $11,712,000 firm-fixed-price contract for aircraft fuel tanks. Two proposals were solicited and two were received. Work is expected to be completed by Aug. 11, 2005. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Supply Center Richmond, Richmond, Va., is the contracting activity (SP0475-00-D-0513).

American Fuel Cell and Coated Fabrics, Magnolia, Ark., is being awarded a $9,866,775 firm-fixed-price contract for aircraft fuel tanks. Two proposals were solicited and two were received. Work is expected to be completed by Aug. 11, 2005. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Supply Center Richmond, Richmond, Va., is the contracting activity (SP0475-00-D-0512).

Rolls-Royce Corporation, Indianapolis, Ind., is being awarded a $6,000,000 firm-fixed-price contract for thermocouple, immersion. Two proposals were solicited and one was received. Work is expected to be completed by May 31, 2001. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Supply Center Richmond, Richmond, Va., is the contracting activity (F34601-98-G-0011 TYU3).

AIR FORCE

United Technologies Corp., West Palm Beach, Fla., is being awarded a $10,855,848 firm-fixed-price contract to provide for 52 compressor cases applicable to the F100PW100/220 engine on the F-15 and F-16 aircraft. Expected contract completion date is June 2002. Solicitation issue date was March 29, 2000. Negotiation completion date was July 28, 2000. San Antonio Air Logistics Center, Kelly AFB, Texas, is the contracting activity (F41608-00-G-0003-0107).
