AIR FORCE

Science Applications International Corp. (SAIC), San Diego, Calif., is being awarded a $496,000,000 (total program maximum) cost-plus-award-fee contract. SAIC will be one of three contractors participating in a program to provide planning, analyses, engineering, integration, modeling, and simulation in the areas of space weaponry, ballistic missile systems, and command, control, communication, and intelligence systems through June 2003. This effort will support the coordination and integration efforts of the Headquarters, Space and Missile Systems Center, Los Angeles AFB, Calif. Further funds will be obligated as individual delivery orders are issued. Delivery order requirements will be competed among the three contractors. The Air Force can award delivery orders totaling up to the program maximum amount indicated above, though actual requirements may necessitate less than that amount. Expected contract completion date is June 30, 2003. Solicitation issue date was March 02, 2000. Space and Missile Systems Center, Los Angeles AFB, Calif., is the contracting activity (F04701-00-C-8029).

The Boeing Company, Seal Beach, Calif., is being awarded a $9,433,000 (not -to-exceed) modification to a cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to provide for engineering efforts through January 2001 in support of development of an upgrade to the Crosslink Transponder Data Unit on the Global Positioning System (GPS) Block IIF satellite. Expected contract completion date is January 2001. Space and Missile Systems Center, Los Angeles AFB, Calif., is the contracting activity (F04701-96-C-0025-P00096).

NAVY

AeroThrust Corp., Miami, Fla., is being awarded a $23,649,711 requirements contract for depot level maintenance for 39 JT8D engines for the Navy/Marine Corps C-9, Air Force C-9, T43-A, and C-22B aircraft. Work will be performed in Miami, Fla., and is expected to be completed by September 2001. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via the Internet with five offers received. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00019-00-D-0419).

Gnostech Inc., Warminster, Pa., is being awarded a $5,711,949 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for engineering and technical services for Global Positioning System support. This contract contains options, which if exercised, will bring the total cumulative value of the contract to $9,688,784. Work will be performed in Warminster, Pa. (60%); San Diego, Calif. (20%); and Los Angeles, Calif. (20%), and is expected to be completed by August 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured through the Commerce Business Daily with three offers received. The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity (N66001-00-D-5083).

ARMY

DAYTRON Inc., Intercontinental Manufacturing Division, Garland, Texas, is being awarded a $19,718,743 modification to firm-fixed-price contract DAAA09-98-C-0074, for 57,341 BDU-50 bomb bodies (a component of the BDU-50 (500 pound) Air Force practice bomb). Work will be performed in Garland, Texas, and is expected to be completed by Nov. 30, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on March 20, 2000. The U.S. Army Operations Support Command (Provisional), Rock Island, Ill., is the contracting activity.
