AIR FORCE

Boeing North American, Inc., Seal Beach, Calif., is being awarded a $123,300,000 (not-to-exceed) modification to a cost-plus-incentive-fee contract to provide for design and development of modifications to incorporate new military and civil signals into the Global Positioning System Block IIF satellite. Expected contract completion date is March 1, 2003. Solicitation issue date was March 23, 2000. Space and Missile Systems Center, Los Angeles AFB, Calif., is the contracting activity (F04701-96-C-0025-P00080).

NAVY

Isothermal Systems Research,* Clarkston, Wash., is being awarded a not-to-exceed $35,000,000 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for spray cooled electronics chassis. Spray cooled electronics chassis will provide for the development and application of spray cooled enclosures to various product lines (chassis, pumps and piping, electronics cages, control systems and power supplies) for processors, avionics, and displays. The devices will gain significant heat dissipation capabilities to cool the electronics, and provide isolation to them from harsh environmental and militarized elements. Work will be performed in Clarkston, Wash., and is expected to be completed by August 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured using the Small Business Innovative Research solicitation provisions under Topic #N92-136 with at least two offers received. Jentek, Inc.,* Watertown, Mass., is being awarded a not-to-exceed $25,000,000 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for application of the meandering wire magnetometer for detection and quantification of cumulative fatigue damage in aircraft structural components. Work will be performed in Watertown, Mass., and is expected to be completed in August 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured using the Small Business Innovative Research solicitation provisions under Topic #N95-033 with 29 offers received. Navmar Applied Sciences Corporation,* Warminster, Pa., is being awarded a not-to-exceed $25,000,000 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for the Tactical Acoustic Measurement Decision Aid (TAMDA) prototype buoy development effort. The TAMDA program is intended to meet the requirement for improved anti-submarine warfare through on-the-scene collection and analysis of environmental data. Work will be performed in Warminster, Pa., and is expected to be completed by August 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured using the Small Business Innovative Research solicitation provisions under Topic #N94-178 with six offers received. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, N.J., is the contracting activity (N68335-00-D-0396).

Management Sciences, Inc.,* Albuquerque, N.M., is being awarded a not-to-exceed $25,000,000 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for systems engineering environment, which will provide methods and tools for collaborative systems engineering at geographically distributed sites. Work will be performed in Albuquerque, N.M., and is expected to be completed by August 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured using the Small Business Innovative Research solicitation provisions under Topic #N96-193 with 15 offers received. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, N.J., is the contracting activity (N68335-00-D-0428).

Lockheed Martin Corp., Naval Electronic and Surveillance Systems, St. Paul, Minn., is being awarded a $12,327,666 modification to previously awarded contract N00019-98-C-0013 to procure 10 P-3C Block Modification Upgrade Program Installation Kits (A-Kits) for the P-3C Update II and Update II.5. Work will be performed in Clearwater, Fla. (64%), Eagan, Minn. (33%), and Greenville, S.C. (3%), and is expected to be completed by June 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

Soltek Pacific of San Diego, San Diego, Calif., is being awarded a $10,972,345 firm-fixed-price contract for repair and alterations to bachelor enlisted quarters buildings 532, 533, 534, 535, 536, 537 at Marine Corps Air Station, Miramar. Work includes renovations to the six 20,000 square feet buildings, site utilities and landscaping. Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif., and is expected to be completed by December 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured on the NAVFAC e-solicitation website with seven offers received. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Southwest Division, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity (N68711-99-C-6056).

ARMY

  • Kalmar Rough Terrain Center LLC, San Antonio, Texas, is being awarded a $15,304,744 delivery order amount as part of firm-fixed-price/requirements-type contract DAAE07-00-D-T021, for a Rough Terrain Container Handler (RTCH) with 53,000 pound capacity, and 390
  • handles (20 ft. and 40 ft.) for International Organization for Standardization (ISO) containers
  • weighing up to 53,000 pounds. The RTCH operates on beaches, rough terrain and unimproved
  • surfaces. The forklift kit positions modular causeway sections, handles breakbulk cargo and palletized loading system flatracks. Work will be performed in Ljungby, Sweden, and is expected to be completed by May 30, 2007. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Feb. 1, 2000. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity.

PRIMEX Technologies, Marion, Ill., is being awarded a $9,735,050 firm-fixed-price contract for 1,635,868 cartridges (20 mm PGU-27A/B bullets) in support of the U.S. Navy. Work will be performed in Marion, Ill., and is expected to be completed by Feb. 28, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were two bids solicited on July 21, 2000, and two bids were received. The U.S. Army Operations Support Command (Provisional), Rock Island, Ill., is the contracting activity (DAAA09-00-C-0081).

Alliant Ammunition Systems Co., Twin Cities Army Ammunition Plant, St. Paul, Minn., is being awarded an $8,619,534 firm-fixed-price contract for 1,338,437 cartridges (20 mm PGU-27A/B bullets) in support of the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Navy. Work will be performed at the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant, Independence, Mo., and is expected to be completed by Feb. 28, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were two bids solicited on July 21, 2000, and two bids were received. The U.S. Army Operations Support Command (Provisional), Rock Island, Ill., is the contracting activity (DAAA09-00-C-0082).
