DEFENSE INFORMATION SYSTEMS AGENCY

IIT Research Institute, Chicago, Ill is being awarded a $276,541,142 cost-plus-award fee contract to provide engineering support services for the continued operation and maintenance of the technical capabilities of the Joint Spectrum Center (JSC). The contract is for a two-year base period, with three one-year options. Competitive procedures were the basis for the award utilizing the Defense Information Technology Organization web page. One quote was received in response to this solicitation. Work will be performed primarily in the states of Maryland and Virginia. The Defense Information Technology Organization, National Capital Region is the contracting activity (DCA-100-00-C-4012).

NAVY

Litton Guidance and Control Systems, Northridge, Calif., is being awarded a $6,711,307 modification to previously awarded contract N00019-99-C-1128, for communications control group upgrade modifications for the S-3B Viking aircraft. Work will be performed in Northridge, Calif., and is expected to be completed by July 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

ARMY

Midwest Environmental Control Inc., Toledo, Ohio, is being awarded a $50,000 delivery order amount as part of a $6,512,574 (base year total) firm-fixed-price, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract, with a cumulative total of $29,850,000 if all options are exercised. The contractor will perform abatement of asbestos, lead-based paint and materials with Polychlorinated Biphenyl (PCB's), and restore the abated surfaces/structures. Work will be performed at Edwards Air Force Base, Calif. (40%); Vandenberg Air Force Base, Calif. (30%); Los Angeles, Calif. (10%); Monterey, Calif. (10%) and Nellis Air Force Base, Nev. (10%), and is expected to be completed by Aug. 30, 2003. Of the total contract funds, $50,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There was an announcement in the Commerce Business Daily on June 8, 2000, and six bids were received. Alliant Ammunition Systems Co., Twin Cities Army Ammunition Plant, St. Paul, Minn., is being awarded an $8,269,049 firm-fixed-price contract for 904,710 cartridges (30 mm PGU-15/B bullets) in support of the U.S. Air Force. Work will be performed in Radford, Va., and is expected to be completed by Oct. 31, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were two bids solicited on June 30, 2000, and two bids were received. The U.S. Army Operations Support Command (Provisional), Rock Island, Ill., is the contracting activity (DAAA09-00-C-0071).

PRIMEX Technologies, Marion, Ill., is being awarded a $7,513,212 firm-fixed-price contract for 740,218 cartridges (30 mm PGU-15/B bullets) in support of the U.S. Air Force. Work will be performed in Marion, Ill., and is expected to be completed by Oct. 31, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were two bids solicited on June 30, 2000, and two bids were received. The U.S. Army Operations Support Command (Provisional), Rock Island, Ill., is the contracting activity (DAAA09-00-C-0072).

CIVIL WORKS - NON MILITARY

Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Co., Oak Brook, Ill., is being awarded a $2,700,000 increment as part of an $18,438,770 firm-fixed-price contract for dredging work in the Chesapeake Bay area. Work will be performed in Chesapeake Bay, Md., and is expected to be completed by Jan. 31, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 11 bids solicited on July 14, 2000, and two bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore, Md., is the contracting activity (DACW31-00-C-0042).

Manson Construction Co., Seattle, Wash., is being awarded $1,000 as part of a $10,861,000 (base year total) firm-fixed-price contract, with a cumulative total of $16,698,000 if all options are exercised. The contractor will perform maintenance dredging for Channel Islands and Port Hueneme Harbors. Work will be performed in Channel Islands Harbor, Calif. (94%), and Port Hueneme, Calif. (6%), and is expected to be completed by Dec. 23, 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There was an announcement in the Commerce Business Daily on June 23, 2000, and two bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Los Angeles, Calif., is the contracting activity (DACW09-00-C-0009).

Great Lakes Dredge and Dock Co., Oak Brook, Ill., is being awarded $150,000 as part of a $6,678,000 (base year total) firm-fixed-price contract, with a cumulative total of $10,291,000 if all options are exercised for beachfill, at Great Egg Harbor Inlet and Peck Beach. Work will be performed in Ocean County, N.J., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 1, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 41 bids solicited on June 16, 2000, and three bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (DACW61-00-C-0042).
