ARMY

Lockheed Martin Corp., Management & Data Systems, Fairfax, Va., was awarded on Aug. 24, 2000, a $376,215 increment as part of a $5,355,024 (base year total) level-of-effort, cost-plus-award-fee contract, with an estimated cumulative total of $25,999,466. The project is to consolidate training and services for the National Imagery & Mapping College into one contract vehicle. Work will be performed at Fort Belvoir, Va., and is expected to be completed by Aug. 31, 2005. There were 87 bids solicited on April 19, 2000, and three bids were received. The National Imagery and Mapping Agency Activity, Bethesda, Md., is the contracting activity (NMA401-00-C-0006).

Radiance Technologies Inc.*, Huntsville, Ala., was awarded on Aug. 18, 2000, a $31,000 increment as part of a $14,853,166 cost-plus-incentive-fee/level-of-effort contract for Space Technology Directorate Program Analysis and Concept Engineering. The contractor will provide space technology and systems engineering support to the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command Space Technology Directorate. This contract is awarded as the result of an unsolicited proposal. Work will be performed in Huntsville, Ala., and is expected to be completed by Aug. 18, 2005. Of the total contract funds, $31,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command, Huntsville, Ala., is the contracting activity (DASG60-00-C-0078).

Loerke Construction Group, LLC, Tulsa, Okla., is being awarded an $11,386,040 firm-fixed-price contract for construction of a composite support complex that will contain the 138th Fighter Wing Headquarters and supporting administrative sections and a dining facility. A Hazardous Materials Pharmacy will be constructed separate from the Headquarters building. The contractor will also renovate two existing buildings. Work will be performed at the Tulsa Air National Guard Base, Tulsa, Okla., and is expected to be completed by April 15, 2002. There were 10 bids solicited on July 7, 2000, and four bids were received. The National Guard Bureau, Oklahoma City, Okla., is the contracting activity (DAHA34-00-C-0060).

CIVIL WORKS - NON MILITARY

Mendelian Construction*, Gordon N. Ball*, a joint venture, San Francisco, Calif., is being awarded a $500,000 increment as part of a $5,464,420 firm-fixed-price contract for raising levees and constructing floodwalls. Work will be performed between Water St. and Soguel Ave., and between Riverside Blvd. and the Union Pacific Railroad Bridge on the San Lorenzo River in Santa Cruz, Calif., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 8, 2001. There were 34 bids solicited on June 26, 2000, and two bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento, Calif., is the contracting activity (DACW05-00-C-0039).
