NAVY

Sikorsky Aircraft Corp., Stratford, Conn., is being awarded a $77,400,000 firm-fixed-price contract for the production of six SH-60B Block I airframes, six Block I upgrade kits; six armed helicopter kits; and two spare left-hand extended pylon wings for the Government of Spain (100%) under the Foreign Military Sales Program. Under this contract, Sikorsky Aircraft Corp. will install one Block I kit and one armed helicopter kit and assist with the installation of a second Block I kit and armed helicopter kit. Work will be performed in Stratford, Conn. (80%) and Rota, Spain (20%) and is expected to be completed by March 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Raytheon Systems Company, McKinney, Texas, is being awarded a $28,778,819 modification to previously awarded contract N00019-95-C-0198 to exercise an option for the manufacture of 11 AN/APS-137B(V)5 radar units for the Royal Netherlands Navy P-3 aircraft program under the Foreign Military Sales Program. Work will be performed in McKinney, Texas, and is expected to be completed by December 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

BAE Systems Applied Technologies, Inc., Rockville, Md., is being awarded a $15,829,799 modification to previously awarded contract N00421-97-C-1434 to exercise an option for technical and engineering services in support of Identification System Programs. The estimated level of effort for this option is 390,000 man-hours. Work will be performed in California, Md. (70%); St. Inigoes, Md. (25%); and at various government facilities (5%), and is expected to be completed by September 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, St. Inigoes, Md., is the contracting activity.

BAE Systems Applied Technologies, Inc., Rockville, Md., is being awarded an $8,483,083 modification to previously awarded contract N00421-96-C-5225 to exercise an option for engineering and technical support services for the Special Communications Requirements Division, Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, St. Inigoes, Md. This modification will provide an estimated level of effort of 265,768 man-hours. Work will be performed in California, Md. (82%) and St. Inigoes, Md. (18%), and is expected to be completed by September 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, St. Inigoes, Md., is the contracting activity.

Northrop Grumman, California Microwave, Inc., Woodland Hills, Calif., is being awarded a $7,566,469 modification to a previously awarded contract N00421-00-D-0173 to exercise an option for support services and data for the Lightweight Tactical Automated Communications Control Systems. Work will be performed in Woodland Hills, Calif., and is expected to be completed by September 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, St. Inigoes, Md., is the contracting activity.

RQ Construction, Inc.*, Bonsall, Calif., is being awarded firm-fixed-price task order 0012 at $7,564,000 under a multiple award construction contract for design, engineering, and construction of a new 4,656 meters square Reserve Training Center at Marine Corps Base, Camp Pendleton. Work will be performed in Oceanside, Calif., and is expected to be completed by March 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The basic contract was competitively procured with 46 proposals solicited, 19 offers received and award made to multiple contractors on March 31, 1999. The basic total contract amount is not to exceed $150,000,000 (base period and two option years). The multiple contractors (four in number) may compete for task orders under the terms and conditions of the existing contract. Four proposals were received for this task order. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Southwest Division, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity (N68711-99-D-6202).

Korte Construction Company, Highland, Ill., is being awarded task order 2003 at $6,994,124 under a firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity task order construction contract for the design and construction of a 52,800 square foot, two-story steel framed building to be used as a Strategic Weapons Systems Engineering Facility at Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane. Work also includes the demolition of four buildings after the completion of the facility. Work will be performed in Crane, Ind., and is expected to be completed by February 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The basic contract was competitively procured with 51 proposals solicited, nine offers received and award made to multiple contractors on 19 February 1999. The basic total contract amount is not to exceed $75,000,000 (base period and four option years). The multiple contractors (three in number) may compete for task orders under the terms and conditions of the existing contract. Three offers were received for this task order. The Officer in Charge of Construction, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane, Ind., is the contracting activity (N68950-98-D-0129).

General Construction, Inc., Poulsbo, Wash., is being awarded a $5,922,729 firm-fixed-price contract to provide for all services, labor, equipment and materials to provide for the complete demolition of Pier 1 and Pier 2 and the construction of a new pier facility with a floating boathouse at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Keyport. Work will be performed in Keyport, Wash., and is expected to be completed by October 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 56 offers solicited and five proposals received. Triton Marine Construction Corp., Bremerton, Wash., is being awarded a $5,149,450 firm-fixed-price contract for construction of the Disease Vector Ecology and Control Center at Naval Submarine Base, Bangor. Work will be performed in Silverdale, Wash., and is expected to be completed by April 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 35 proposals solicited and three offers received. ARMY

ITT Industries, Systems Division, Colorado Springs, Colo., is being awarded $177,224 as part of a $12,226,282 (base year total) cost-plus-award-fee contract, with an estimated cumulative total of $60,659,434, for logistical support services for a Readiness Business Center (Logistics Division), consisting of supply and service, material maintenance, and transportation. The results of the cost comparison will be provided to all interested parties, including affected employees, their unions, and the potential contractor. A final decision will not be made until any objections to the cost comparison have been evaluated. The report to congress is required by Title 10, Chapter 146, Sections 2461-68, will be made before the contractor is authorized to proceed under this conditionally awarded contract, if the final decision is to convert to contract performance. If the final decision is to retain the activities in-house, the contract will be cancelled. Work will be performed at Fort Bragg, N.C., and is expected to be completed by March 31, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There was an announcement on the Internet on Jan. 24, 2000, and one bid was received. M. A. Mortenson, Colorado Springs, Colo., is being awarded a $23,402,000 firm-fixed-price contract for construction of a B2 Low Observable Restoration Facility. Work will be performed at Whiteman Air Force Base, Mo., and is expected to be completed by Aug. 4, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 190 bids solicited on Feb. 23, 2000, and three bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City, Mo., is the contracting activity (DACA41-00-C-0013).

Amigo/JT*, a joint venture, San Antonio, Texas, was awarded on Sept. 22, 2000, a $7,788,499 firm-fixed-price contract for the design and construction of the 62nd C-130 Squadron Operations/Aircraft Maintenance Unit facility. The project includes site and utility improvements; demolition of buildings 266, 268, 270/271, 3265, and 75266; the demolition of an existing sewage lift station; the construction of a new sewage lift station, and site improvements. Work will be performed at Little Rock Air Force Base, Pulaski County, Ark., and is expected to be completed by May 25, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 68 bids solicited on May 1, 2000, and three bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Little Rock, Ark., is the contracting activity (DACA03-00-C-0035).

Delta Research Inc.*, Huntsville, Ala., is being awarded $6,641,430 as part of an $18,589,207 cost-plus-award-fee contract for the development of fully integrated penetration aid suites and high fidelity threat engineering characterizations for threat engineering scenario development to support National Missile Defense and Theater Missile Defense defense acquisition programs. Work will be performed in Huntsville, Ala., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 25, 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Aug. 26, 2000. The U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command, Huntsville, Ala., is the contracting activity (DASG60-00-C-0097).

Sundt Construction Inc., Tucson, Ariz., is being awarded a $9,264,931 firm-fixed-price contract to design and build 76 new junior NCO family housing units with associated site improvements; and demolition and asbestos removal and disposal of 98 units. Work will be performed at Holloman Air Force Base, N.M., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 116 bids solicited on July 6, 2000, and two bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Albuquerque, N.M., is the contracting activity (DACA47-00-C-0023).

CIVIL WORKS - NON MILITARY

NATCO LP, Oak Brook, Ill., is being awarded $25,000 as part of an $18,212,263 firm-fixed-price contract for a beach nourishment, dredging, shore protection project in Sunny Isles Beach, and an option at Miami Beach, Fla. The contractor will beach-fill 835,000 cubic yards, and construction of a breakwater at Sunny Isles, 9,000 tons of armour stone. The project includes vibracore monitoring and beach tilling. Work will be performed in Dade County, Fla., and is expected to be completed by Oct. 30, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. AIR FORCE

CABACO, Inc., Sierra Vista, Ariz., is being awarded a $9,626,256 option to a firm-fixed-price contract to provide for fiscal 2001 operation and maintenance of base facilities on the Nellis Training and Test Range, Nevada. Expected contract completion date is Sept. 30, 2001. Solicitation issue date was March 6, 1995. Negotiation completion date was Sept. 25, 2000. The Boeing company, St. Louis, Mo., is being awarded a $6,310,000 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract to provide for additional initial spares in support of the Joint Helmet Mounted Cueing System applicable to the F-18 aircraft. This effort supports Navy requirements. Expected contract completion date is Nov. 30, 2002. Solicitation issue date was July 6, 2000. Negotiation completion date was Sept. 15, 2000.
