AIR FORCE

Lockheed Martin Missiles and Space Co., King of Prussia, Pa., is being awarded a $17,000,000 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract to provide for seven Interim Retrofit Crosslink Transponder Data Units for the NAVSTAR Global Positioning System Block IIR satellite (vehicles 01 and 04 through 09). This retrofit will minimize false detection of signal due to ultra-high frequency (UHF) interference. The work will be performed at Lockheed Martin, King of Prussia, Pa. (63%), and ITT Aerospace/Communication Div., Clifton, N.J. (37%). The work is expected to be completed by Nov. 2003. Space and Missile Center, Los Angeles, Calif., is the contracting activity (F04701-89/C-0073, P00225).

NAVY

Lockheed Martin Services, Inc., Cherry Hill, N.J., is being awarded an $11,609,895 cost-plus-award-fee level-of-effort contract option for 300,479 man-hours to perform combat system activation, operation, maintenance and engineering services in support of the Surface Combat System Center (SCSC), Wallops Island, Va. Work will be performed in Wallops Island, Va., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (N00024-00-C-5135).

General Electric Aircraft Engines, Lynn, Mass., is being awarded an $11,466,404 commercial requirements contract for 49 different types of items supporting the following engines/aircraft: F404 (F/A-18), J85 engine (T-38, T-2C, F-5), T58 engine (CH-46D/E, H-3), T-64 engine (H-3), T700 engine (H-60, AH1-W), and TF34 engine (S-3A, A-10). These items include forward rotor shafts and gas turbine disks. This contract includes options, which if exercised, will bring the total cumulative value of this contract to $45,865,616. Work will be performed in Lynn, Mass., and is expected to be completed by June 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Inventory Control Point, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (N00383-01-D-999M).

L-3 Communications, Link Simulation and Training, Arlington, Texas, is being awarded a $5,200,000 modification to a previously awarded firm fixed price contract N00019-97-C-0025 for an upgrade to the Partial Aircrew Coordination Trainer (PACT) Numbers 2 and 3 and retrofit to PACT Number 1 for the P-3 aircraft. Work will be performed in Arlington, Texas, and is expected to be completed by December 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

ARMY

Guild Associates Inc.*, Dublin, Ohio, is being awarded a $10,927,263 modification to firm-fixed-price contract DAAK60-97-C-9222, for 28 Laundry Advanced System Production Units (Army water-based mobile field laundry units), with associated spare parts and training devices. Work will be performed in Dublin, Ohio, and is expected to be completed by Dec. 30, 2002. Of the total contract funds $10,927,263 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 37 bids solicited on Jan. 17, 1997, and two bids were received. The U.S. Army Soldier Biological Chemical Command, Natick, Mass., is the contracting activity.
