NAVY

Lockheed Martin Corp., Information Systems Division, Orlando, Fla., is being awarded a $62,916,506 modification to previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract N00019-00-C-0289 to exercise an option for production of 40 Consolidated Automated Support System (CASS) test stations for the U.S. Navy (20 hybrid and 20 RF stations), including various ancillary equipment and station maintenance. Work will be performed in Orlando, Fla., and is expected to be completed by June 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

Raytheon Company, Electronic Systems, Naval & Maritime Integrated Systems, Portsmouth, R.I., is being awarded a $14,107,226 firm-fixed-price option for 115 MK48 ADCAP Mods Torpedo Kits including proofing support, turnaround kits, engineering services as necessary, provisioned item orders as necessary, and engineering change proposals as necessary. Work will be performed in Keyport, Wash., and is expected to be completed by April 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via a limited competition with two proposals solicited, and two offers received. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (N00024-00-C-6102).

Sundt/Ninteman (a joint venture), Tucson, Ariz., is being awarded Option 0002 to Task Order 0003 at $13,851,299 under a multiple award construction contract for construction of an additional 98 replacement housing units at Victory Homes, Naval Air Station Whidbey Island. The base item of Task Order 0003 was awarded Sept. 25, 2000, for $15,795,716. Today's award brings the total task order amount to $29,647,015. Work will be performed in Oak Harbor, Wash., and is expected to be completed by December 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The basic contract was competitively procured with 106 proposals solicited, seven offers received and award made to multiple contractors on May 12, 2000. The basic total contract amount is not to exceed $250,000,000 (base period and four option years). The multiple contractors (four in number) may compete for task orders under the terms and conditions of the existing contract. Four proposals were received for this task order. The Engineering Field Activity Northwest, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Poulsbo, Wash., is the contracting activity (N68711-99-D-6653).

BAE Aerospace, Greenlawn, N.Y., is being awarded a $5,038,180 modification to previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract N00019-98-C-0156 to exercise an option for 70 AN UPX-37 Digital Interrogators, a cooperative question and answer identification friend or foe system used onboard ship. Work will be performed in Greenlawn, N.Y., and is expected to be completed by December 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

SOPAKCO Packaging, Mullins, S.C., is being awarded a $64,229,728 fixed price with economic price adjustment indefinite quantity contract for Meals, Ready-to-Eat (MREs) and Humanitarian Daily Rations (HDRs). Three proposals were solicited and three was received. Work is expected to be completed by Jan. 31, 2002. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SP0300-00-D-Z104).

Black Beauty Resources, Inc.*, Evansville, Ind., is being awarded a $47,960,750 fixed price with economic price adjustment indefinite quantity contract for Meals, Ready-to-Eat (MREs) and Humanitarian Daily Rations (HDRs). Three proposals were solicited and three was received. Work is expected to be completed by Jan. 31, 2002. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Wornick Company*, McAllen, Texas, is being awarded a $44,605,636 fixed price with economic price adjustment indefinite quantity contract for Meals, Ready-to-Eat (MREs) and Humanitarian Daily Rations (HDRs). Three proposals were solicited and three was received. Work is expected to be completed by Jan. 31, 2002. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. AIR FORCE

  • Universal Propulsion Company, Inc., Phoenix, Ariz., was awarded on Dec. 6, 2000, $5,250,000 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to provide for Phase I of the Joint Ejection Seat Program. The Phase I effort includes trade studies and limited risk reduction testing. The work will be performed at Universal Propulsion, Phoenix, Ariz. and IBP Aerospace Group, Inc., East Hartford, Conn. The work is expected to be completed November 2001. There was one
  • proposal received. Solicitation began September 2000; negotiations were completed November 2000. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio is the contracting activity (F33657-00/C-0045).

Raytheon Co., El Segundo, Calif., was awarded on Dec. 6, 2000, a $16,000,000 indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract to provide for research and development support for the Advanced Sensor Program. This effort will improve sensor systems in clutter by exploiting advanced processing architecture and developing advanced processing technologies. At this time, $2,000,000 of the contract funds have been obligated. Further funds will be obligated as delivery orders are issued. The work is expected to be completed December 2002. Solicitation began August 2000; negotiations were completed December 2000. Air Force Research Laboratory, Rome, NY is the contracting activity (F30602-01/D-0028).

The Boeing Co., Seattle, Wash., is being awarded a $95,000,000 indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract to provide for research of new technologies that will provide affordable, revolutionary capabilities to the warfighter. The developments will provide for cost effective, survivable aerospace platforms capable of accurate delivery of weapons and cargo worldwide. This contractor will the second of three participating in the Air Vehicles Technology Integration Program (AVTIP). Funds will be obligated as individual delivery orders are issued. There were three proposals received. Solicitation began June 2000; negotiations were completed November 2000. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio is the contracting activity (F33615-00/D-3052).

Honeywell, Inc., Clearwater, Fla., is being awarded a $7,141,180 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract to provide for ninety-four Embedded Global Positioning System/Inertial Navigation System (EGI) units applicable to the A-10 aircraft. The work is expected to be completed December 2001. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio is the contracting activity (F33657-99/C-2040, P00039.
