NAVY

Bath Iron Works Corp., Bath, Maine, will receive a $660,822,858 modification to its fiscal year 1998-2001 DDG 51 Class multiyear contract, which provides funding for the fiscal year 2001 multiyear ships (DDG 99 and DDG 101). This amount includes incorporation of approved changes to the fiscal year 2001 baseline. Advance procurement funding in the amount of $54,900,000 was previously provided for these ships in March 1998 in combination with award of the fiscal year 1998-2001 multiyear contract. The contract provides for the construction of DDG 51 Class AEGIS Destroyers with the following associated supplies and services: post delivery availability; special studies; on-board spares and repair parts; equipage, special tools, support and test equipment; production support and industrial services; installation and check-out spares; detail design correction; shore based spares; messing and berthing for precommissioning crews; continuous acquisition and life cycle support (CALS); life cycle cost reduction initiatives; class crew indoctrination and orientation program; and associated data. Work will be performed in Bath, Maine, and is expected to be completed by August 2006. Contract funds will not expire by the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (N00024-98-C-2306).

Ingalls Shipbuilding, Pascagoula, Miss, is receiving a $338,218,386 modification to its fiscal year 1998-2001 DDG 51 Class multiyear contract, which provides funding for the fiscal year 2001 multiyear ship (DDG 100). This amount includes incorporation of approved changes to the fiscal year 2001 baseline. Advance procurement funding in the amount of $27,450,000 was previously provided for these ships in March 1998 in combination with award of the fiscal year 1998-2001 multiyear contract. The contract provides for the construction of DDG 51 Class AEGIS Destroyers with the following associated supplies and services: port delivery availability; special studies; on-board spares and repair parts; equipage, special tools, support and test equipment; production support and industrial services; installation and check-out spares; detail design correction; shore based spares; messing and berthing for precommissioning crews; continuous acquisition and life cycle support (CALS); life cycle cost reduction initiatives; class crew indoctrination and orientation program; and associated data. Work will be performed in Pascagoula, Miss., and is expected to be completed by April 2006. Contract funds will not expire by the end of the current fiscal year. The Sikorsky Aircraft Corp., Stratford, Conn., is being awarded a $14,635,737 fixed-price contract for engineering and integrated logistics support services supporting the Special Progressive Aircraft Rework associated with the VH-3D and VH-60 Presidential helicopters. Work will be performed at Stratford, Conn., and is expected to be completed by September 2001. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00019-01-C-0024).

International Technology Corp., Concord, Calif., is being awarded a $5,368,890 delivery order modification to previously awarded indefinite-quantity/indefinite-delivery, cost-plus-award-fee contract for environmental remedial action which provides all services, labor, equipment and materials required to recover and remove free product, contaminated soil, and fuel constituents from the groundwater at the Naval Air Station, Alameda Point. Work will be performed in Alameda, Calif., and is expected to be completed by December 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The basic contract was competitively procured with 182 proposals solicited, four offers received, and award made to International Technology Corporation on June 2, 1998. The basic total contract amount is not to exceed $250,000,000, which includes the base period and six one-year options. This delivery order modification was negotiated under the terms and conditions of the existing contract. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Southwest Division, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity (N62474-98-D-2076).

ARMY

Stewart & Stevenson Tactical Vehicle Systems LP, Sealy, Texas, is being awarded a $368,411,124 modification to firm-fixed-price multi-year contract DAAE07-98-C-M005, for funding of the fourth program year of the Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles production. This action will call up the production and delivery of 2,562 FMTVs, including 596 of two-and-a-half-ton vehicles, 1,446 of five-ton vehicles, 260 of two-and-a-half-ton trailers and 260 of five-ton trailers. Work will be performed in Sealy, Texas, and is expected to be completed by Oct. 31, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Jan. 2, 1998. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity.

J. Kokolakis Contracting Inc., Rocky Point, N.Y., was awarded on Nov. 29, 2000, a $25,752,926 firm-fixed-price contract for construction of the Kimsey Athletic Center. Work will be performed at the U.S. Military Academy, West Point, N.Y., and is expected to be completed by Jan. 31, 2003. There were 78 bids solicited on June 19, 2000. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York, N.Y., is the contracting activity (DACA51-01-C-0002).

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

US Foodservice, Continental Foods Div., Severn, Md., is being awarded a $7,400,000 firm-fixed-price indefinite quantity contract for food services. There were 72 proposals solicited and four received. Work is expected to be completed by Dec. 9, 2001. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SP0300-00-D-2976).
