DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

SK Global America, Inc., New York, N.Y., is being awarded a $33,231,976 fixed price with economic price adjustment contract for JP5. There were 25 proposals solicited and 13 received. Work will be performed in Kyungsangnam-Do, Korea, and is expected to be completed by Dec 31, 2001. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Energy Support Center is the contracting activity (SP0600-01-D-0465).

ARMY

Motorola Inc., dba Systems Solution Group, Huntsville, Ala., is being awarded a $19,440,593 firm-fixed-price/cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for Tactical Airspace Integration System production and supporting services. Work will be performed in Huntsville, Ala., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were five bids solicited on June 9, 2000, and one bid was received. The U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (DAAH01-01-C-0034).

Lockheed Martin Corp., Missile and Fire Control-Dallas, Grand Prairie, Texas, is being awarded a $20,475,000 modification to firm-fixed-price contract DAAH01-98-C-0093, to exercise the option for 30 Army Tactical Missile Systems, Block I Foreign Military Sales, Variant Guided missile and Launching Assemblies for the country of Bahrain. Work will be performed in Dallas, Texas, and is expected to be completed by Aug. 31, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Sept. 12, 1996. The U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity.

NAVY

Norfolk Shipbuilding and Drydock Corp., Norfolk, Va., is being awarded a $15,780,109 firm-fixed-price performance fee contract for the Extended Docking Selected Restricted Availability (EDSRA) of USS Normandy (CG-60). An EDSRA includes the planning and execution of depot-level maintenance, alterations, and modifications that will update and improve the ship's military and technical capabilities. This contract contains five options, which if exercised, would bring the total contract value to $19,831,494. Work will be performed in Norfolk, Va., and is expected to be completed by September 2001. Contract funds in the amount of $15,110,509 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with four proposals solicited and three offers received. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (N00024-92-H-8045).

Hunt Building Corp., El Paso, Texas, is being awarded $11,957,966 to previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract N62742-99-C-1325 to exercise Option 0001 for the design and construction of an additional 62 replacement family housing units at Pearl City Peninsula. The award of this option brings the total contract value to $38,355,568. Work will be performed in Oahu, Hawaii, and is expected to be completed by April 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The basic contract was competitively procured, via the NAVFAC e-solicitation website, using the two-phase design build process with 24 proposals solicited and five firms responding in Phase I. Of the five responses, only three firms were invited to submit technical and price proposals in Phase II. The basic contract was awarded to Hunt Building Corporation on Sept. 28, 2000. The Regional Officer in Charge of Contracts, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Pacific Division, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, is the contracting activity.

Southern Technologies, Inc.*, Longwood, Fla., is being awarded a $5,154,000 firm-fixed-price contract for major repairs to Kemen Jet Engine Test Cell Facility at Naval Aviation Depot, Jacksonville. Work will be performed in Jacksonville, Fla., and is expected to be completed by January 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 10 proposals solicited and four offers received. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Southern Division, Field Office Jacksonville, North Charleston, S.C., is the contracting activity (N62467-95-C-2544).

DEFENSE ADVANCED RESEARCH PROJECTS AGENCY

Millenium Jet Inc., Sunnyvale, Calif., is being awarded a $1,000,000 increment of a $5,096,613 other-transaction-for-prototypes for the development and testing of a one-man vertical takeoff and landing flying exoskeleton under the Exoskeleton for Human Performance Augmentation program. Work will be performed in Sunnyvale, Calif., and is expected to be completed by September 30, 2003. A portion of the funds ($100,000) will expire at the end of current fiscal year. DARPA issued a solicitation in the Commerce Business Daily on June 30, 2000, and 23 bids were received. Additional awards under this solicitation are planned. The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency is the contracting activity (MDA972-01-09-0004).
