Bean Stuyvesant, New Orleans, La., is being awarded an $11,970,000 increment of a $17,000,000 firm-fixed-price contract with a cumulative total of $64,727,900, for dredging approximately 9,600,000 cubic yards of material. Work will be performed in Wilmington Harbor, Snow's Marsh Station through Baldhead Shoal Channel Station, in Wilmington, N.C., and is expected to be completed by July 30, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 12 bids solicited on Sept. 28, 2000, and three bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Wilmington, N.C., is the contracting activity (DACW54-01-C-0012).
Aqua Terra Contracting Inc.*, Robstown, Texas, is being awarded a $10,000 increment as part of a $6,938,632 firm-fixed-price contract for pile dike repairs. Work will be performed along the Mississippi River from Baton Rouge to the Gulf of Mexico, Southwest Pass, to Plaquemines Parish, La. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 28 bids solicited on Sept. 29, 2000, and seven bids were received.
