AIR FORCE

Hydraulics International, Inc., Chatsworth, Calif., is being awarded a $54,891,987 firm-fixed-price contract to provide for 299 (best estimated quantity) Hydraulic Component Test Stands (HCT-20) applicable to multiple aircraft. These units allow pressurization of aircraft hydraulic systems without use of aircraft thus allowing for functional check of flight control systems and landing gear operations. The HCT-20 also permits testing of the individual components of an aircraft's hydraulics system. The work is expected to be completed February 2005. The work will be performed in Chatsworth, Calif. There were 66 firms solicited and nine proposals received. Solicitation began March 1998; negotiations were completed December 2000. San Antonio Air Logistics Center, Kelly AFB, Texas, is the contracting activity (F09603-01/D-0105).

ARMY

Longbow LLC, Lockheed Martin Millimeter Technologies Inc., and Northrop Grumman Corp., Orlando, Fla., are being awarded a $6,267,450 increment as part of an estimated $35,000,000 cost-plus-incentive-fee with award-fee feature contract for the development program for Longbow Pre-Planned Product Improvement. Work will be performed in Orlando, Fla. (50%), and Baltimore, Md. (50%), and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on May 5, 2000. The U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (DAAH01-01-C-0014).

General Electric Co., Lynn, Mass., is being awarded $244,100 of a $1,473,600 increment, as part of a $25,000,000 (estimated base year total) indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity with cost-plus-fixed-fee-task orders contract, with an estimated cumulative total of $50,000,000, for the T700 Engine Component Improvement Program. An appropriation number and dollar value will be issued with each task order. Work will be performed in Lynn, Mass., and is expected to be completed by Feb. 4, 2006. This is a sole source contract initiated on Oct. 13, 2000. The U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Fort Eustis, Va., is the contracting activity (DAAH10-01-D-0001).

Honeywell International Inc., Phoenix, Ariz., is being awarded $151,928 of a $1,212,480 increment, as part of a $25,000,l000 (estimated base year total) indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity with cost-plus-fixed-fee-task orders contract, with an estimated cumulative total of $50,000,000, for the T55/53 Engine Component Improvement Program. An appropriation number and dollar value will be issued with each task order. Work will be performed in Phoenix, Ariz., and is expected to be completed by Feb. 4, 2006. This is a sole source contract initiated on Oct. 13, 2000. The U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Fort Eustis, Va., is the contracting activity (DAAH10-01-D-0002).

NAVY

Electric Boat Corp., Groton, Conn., is being awarded a $13,091,094 modification to cost-plus-fixed-fee contract N00024-99-C-2900 for consolidated design agent, planning yard and engineering and technical support for nuclear submarines. Work will be performed in Groton, Conn. (89%), Kings Bay, Ga. (6%) and Quonset, R.I., (5%) and is expected to be completed by September 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity.

CIVIL WORKS - NON MILITARY

Shavers-Whittle Construction Inc.*, Mandeville, La., is being awarded a $10,000 increment as part of a $5,685,129 firm-fixed-price contract for suburban canal improvements at I-10, Southeast Louisiana Urban Flood Control Program. Work will be performed in Jefferson Parish, La., and is expected to be completed by July 30, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 137 bids solicited on Dec. 19, 2000, and three bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans, La., is the contracting activity (DACW29-01-C-0022).
