NAVY

General Dynamics Armament Systems, Burlington, Vt., is being awarded a $29,970,403 firm-fixed-price contract for AEGIS Guided Missile MK 82 Mod 0 Directors with MK 200 Mod 0 Director Controllers. Equipment will be installed aboard DDG 99 through DDG 107 Arleigh Burke Class destroyers. The MK82 mounts the antenna assembly on an elevation-over-train pedestal and provides space stabilization for the radar Line of Sight (LOS). The Director supplies train and elevation position data and radar LOS rates in traverse and elevation for use by the fire control system computer. Work will be performed in Burlington, Vt., and is expected to be completed by February 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (N00024-01-C-5158).

Undersea Sensor Systems Inc., Columbia City, Ind., is receiving a $7,751,931 firm-fixed-price contract for 17,742 AN/SSQ-53F sonobuoys and associated data. The AN/SSQ-53F sonobuoys are dropped from various airborne platforms and utilized for search and detection of submerged submarines. Work will be performed in Columbia City, Ind. (80%) and Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada (20%), and is expected to be completed by January 2003. Contract funds will not expire before the end of the fiscal year. The contract was competitively procured with three proposals solicited and two offers received. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Crane Ind., is the contracting activity (N00164-01-C-0029).

AIR FORCE

Lockheed Martin Corp., Marietta, Ga., is being awarded a $20,623,221 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract to provide for two Maintenance Training Devices in support of the C-5 aircraft. This action also definitizes non-recurring engineering and manufacturing development in support of these two devices. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-98/C-0006, P00023).

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

United Technologies Corporation, East Hartford, Conn., is being awarded a $18,708,977 firm-fixed-price contract for aircraft engine parts. One proposal was solicited. Work will be performed in Cheshire, Conn.; Middletown, Conn.; North Haven, Conn.; Rocky Hill, Conn.; Columbus, Ga.; and North Berwick, Maine and is expected to be completed by Feb. 2, 2004. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Supply Center Richmond, Richmond, Va., is the contracting activity (SP0400-01-D-0099).

Mine Safety Appliances Company, Murrysville, Pa., is being awarded a $6,331,300 firm-fixed-price indefinite quantity contract for spectacle kit, spectacles class 3, and spectacles case. Work will be performed at Leominster, Ma. and Latrobe, Pa. and is expected to be completed by Feb. 12, 2002. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SP0100-01-D-4010).
