NAVY

FLIR Systems, Inc., Portland, Ore., is being awarded a $126,137,228 firm-fixed-price, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract for up to 125 new Navigational Thermal Imaging Systems (NTIS) with a laser designator or upgrades to AN/AAQ-22A Shipboard Airborne Forward Looking Infra-Red Equipment (SAFIRE) and AN/AAQ-22C Star SAFIRE NTIS, over a five year period. The first delivery order issued under this contract will be for a quantity of one new NTIS and two NTIS upgrades from AN/AAQ-22A, for a total of $2,015,000, with delivery to be completed within 120 days from the order date. The first system delivery order will be completed in Orlando, Fla., with all subsequent builds and upgrades to be completed in Portland, Ore. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was solicited via Commerce Business Daily, with one offer received. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Crane, Ind., is the contracting activity (N00164-01-D-0011).

PeopleSoft USA, Inc., Bethesda, Md., is being awarded a $6,560,812 firm-fixed-price contract to provide a DoD wide enterprise license for Commercial Off The Shelf Human Resources software in support of the Defense Integrated Military Human Resources System (Personnel/Pay) (DIMHRS Pers/Pay) program. The DIMHRS will be a single standard military personnel and pay system supporting military personnel of all Services and their components. Work will be performed in Bethesda, Md., and is expected to be completed by March 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via full and open competition with f our offers received. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (N00024-01-C-6110).

United Defense, L.P., Armament Systems Division, Minneapolis, Minn., is being awarded a $5,765,862 firm-fixed-price contract option for the procurement of six MK 63 Mod 1 Weathershields. The MK 63 Mod 1 Weathershield provides all-weather protection for the 5"/62 caliber MK 45 Mod 4 naval gun. Work will be performed in Minneapolis, Minn. (60%) and Louisville, Ky. (40%) and is expected to be completed by August 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (N00024-99-C-5206).

AIR FORCE

Jackson and Tull, Washington, D.C., and Dynacs Inc., Palm Harbor, Fla., are being awarded a $49,900,000 cost-plus-fixed fee contract (indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity) for a program to provide integration, demonstration, and validation services in support of spacecraft being developed at the Air Force Research Laboratory. Detachment 8 at the Air Force Research Laboratory, Kirtland Air Force Base, N.M., is the contracting activity (F29601-01-D-0076, F29601-01-D-0077, and F29601-01-D-0078).

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc., San Diego, Calif., is being awarded a $30,100,096 firm fixed price contract for seven Predator unmanned aerial reconnaissance vehicles. At this time $19,837,034 of the contract funds have been obligated. Aeronautical Systems Command at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-00-C-4040).

Universal Technology Corp. and UEW Inc., both of Dayton, Ohio, are being awarded a $28,860,000 cost-plus-fixed fee contract (indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity) for participating in a program to provide research and development support for the Technology Operations Support program. At this time $79,780 has been obligated to Universal Technology Corporation, and $237,699 to UEW. The Air Force Research Laboratory, Kirtland Air Force Base, N.M., is the contracting activity (F33615-01-D-5801, F33615-01-D-5802 and F33615-01-D-5803).

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Placid Refining Company LLC*, Port Allen, La., is being awarded a $38,348,066 modification to a fixed price with economic price adjustment type contract for jet fuel. Work is expected to be completed by March 31, 2002. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Energy Support Center, Ft. Belvoir, Va., is the contracting activity (SP0600-01-D-0469).
