Harris Corporation, RF Communications, Rochester, N.Y., is being awarded a $11,282,576 firm-fixed price contract to provide up to 501 Tactical Air Control Party Modernization (TACP-M) Manpack Radios (MPR) and associated equipment, test support, enhancements, upgrades, spares, technical orders, and training. Raytheon Co., Tucson, Ariz., is being awarded a $7,413,380 modification to previously awarded cost-plus-incentive fee contract (N00024-98-C-5427) for production of six modification (ORDALT) kits and associated hardware for MK 49 Guided Missile Launching Systems of the Rolling Airframe Missile (RAM) Program. The ORDALT kits are designed to provide anti-ship missile defense with current missile configuration which features an image scanning infra-red seeker that allows the missile to engage advanced threats that include helicopters, low-flying small aircraft and surface craft that do not employ active radar guidance. Work will be performed in Tucson, Ariz. (50%) and Ottobrunn, Germany (50%), and is expected to be completed by January 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity.
