DEFENSE FINANCE AND ACCOUNTING SERVICE
National City Bank of Indiana, Indianapolis, Ind., is being awarded a $1,786,827,604 indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract with multiple ordering provisions for retail banking services for U.S. forces deployed overseas. The services include U.S. dollar checking and/or savings accounts; certificates of deposit, cashiers checks, drafts, money orders, and travelers checks; U.S. savings bonds and redemptions; cashing of U.S. Treasury and other checks for payees upon proper identification; selling and repurchasing local currency; personal loans; wire transfers; and the operation of automated teller machines (ATMs) connected to major domestic networks. Work will be performed in Indianapolis, Ind., and overseas in Germany, the Netherlands, United Kingdom, Iceland, Japan, Okinawa, Korea, Diego Garcia, Cuba and Honduras. The period of performance will be five years with five one-year option periods. The total contract value includes total operating costs and expected generated revenue over the 10-year life of the contract. There were 25 bids solicited and two offers received. Sikorsky Aircraft Corp., Stratford, Conn., is being awarded a $14,852,142 fixed-price-contract for the special progressive aircraft rework of one VH-3D and two VH-60 executive mission helicopters. Work will be performed in Stratford, Conn., and is expected to be completed by May 2002. Contract funds in the amount of $14,852,142 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00019-01-C-0024).
Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company (LMSS), Sunnyvale, Calif., is being awarded a $9,414,000 cost-plus-incentive-fee contract to provide for long lead material required for the fiscal year 2002 follow-on production of the Trident II D5 missile system. The definitized FY02 Trident II D5 production and deployed systems support contract will be a cost reimbursable, multiple incentive contract with incentives on cost, reliability, quality, readiness, and flight termination. Work will be performed in Sunnyvale, Calif., and is expected to be completed by September 2005. The contract was not competitively procured. Contract funds will not expire by the end of the current fiscal year. The Navy's Strategic Systems Programs, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity (N00030-01-C-0100).
Olin Corp., East Alton, Ill., is being awarded a $7,506,633 firm-fixed-price contract for 81,574,000 cartridges, 9 mm M882. Work will be performed in East Alton, Ill., and is expected to be completed by July 31, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There was an announcement on the World Wide Web on Jan. 31, 2001, and five bids were received. Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Co., Oak Brook, Ill., is being awarded a $10,000 increment as part of a $7,506,100 firm-fixed-price contract for Caleasieu River and Pass, La., maintenance dredging. Work will be performed in Cameron Parish, La., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 30, 2001. There were 17 bids solicited on Feb. 16, 2001, and two bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans, La., is the contracting activity (DACW29-01-C-0038).
