ARMY

Raytheon Co., Electronic Systems, Bedford, Mass., is being awarded a $53,220,106 modification to firm-fixed-price contract DAAH01-95-C-0446 for Patriot classification, discrimination and identification Phase III (CD13) and Patriot radar enhancement Phase 3 radar modifications. Work will be performed in Andover, Mass. (54%); Sudbury, Mass. (15%); Tewksbury, Mass. (10%); Bedford, Mass. (5%); Pelham, Mass. (3%); Torrance, Calif. (8%); and Great Neck, N.Y. (5%), and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Feb. 6, 2001. The U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity.

Royal Ordnance North America, Kingsport, Tenn., is being awarded a $5,653,320 delivery order amount as part of firm-fixed-price contract DAAA09-98-D-0005, for the manufacture of 1,044,976 pounds of CXM-7 explosives to support the MK84 bomb program. Work will be performed at the Holston Army Ammunition Plant, Kingsport, Tenn., and is expected to be completed by Aug. 31, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on April 24, 2001. The U.S. Army Operations Support Command, Rock Island, Ill., is the contracting activity.

NAVY

Kira Inc.*, Miami, Fla., is being awarded a not-to-exceed $22,068,440 (base year and four one-year options) firm-fixed-price, indefinite-quantity contract for military family housing maintenance/repair at Naval Air Station Lemoore. Work will be performed in Lemoore, Calif., and is expected to be completed by May 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively negotiated with 117 proposals solicited and eight offers received. The Engineering Field Activity West, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, San Bruno, Calif., is the contracting activity (N62474-01-D-6004).

Newport News Shipbuilding, Newport News, Va., is being awarded a $9,327,999 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for advanced planning and engineering services for future aircraft carrier availabilities. Work will be performed at Newport News, Va., and is expected to be completed by March 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (N00024-01-C-2103).

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

MANCON Inc., Virginia Beach, Va., was tentatively awarded on March 9, 2001, a $19,481,268 firm-fixed, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity type contract for warehousing and distribution. This contract was appealed in accordance with OMB Circular A-76, and the decision was made to award to MANCON Inc., effective May 11, 2001. There were 300 proposals solicited, and seven responded. Work will be performed at the Defense Distribution Depot, Jacksonville, Fla., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 22, 2006. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Supply Center, Columbus, Ohio, is the contracting activity (SP0710-01-D-7001).

AIR FORCE

J. Kokolakis Contracting, Tarpon Springs, Fla., is being awarded a $5,148,295 firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery and indefinite-quantity contract to provide addition/alteration architectural and refrigeration upgrade for the MacDill Air Force Base, Fla., commissary facility. Funds will be obligated as individual delivery orders are issued. The Air Force can award delivery orders totaling up to the program maximum amount indicated above, though actual requirements may necessitate less than that amount. Headquarters Air Education and Training Command, Contracting Squadron, Lackland Air Force Base, Tex., is the contracting activity (F41689-01-C-0026).
