NAVY

Chianelli Building Corp., Norfolk, Va., is being awarded an $8,561,100 firm-fixed-price contract for the Amphibious Operations Maintenance/Storage Complex Small Craft Company, Headquarters Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, Marine Corps Base, Camp Lejeune. The work to be performed provides for construction of four buildings on a site of approximately ten acres at the Courthouse Bay Boat Basin. The four buildings include one two-story 34,621 square feet operations/maintenance building, two single-story 13,063 square feet covered boat shelters, and a HAZMAT and bladder storage building. Work will be performed in Jacksonville, N.C., and is expected to be completed by March 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 85 proposals solicited and eight offers received. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Atlantic Division, Norfolk, Va., is the contracting activity (N62470-99-C-9152).

The DD 21 Alliance, comprised of Bath Iron Works Corp. (BIW), Bath, Maine and Ingalls Shipbuilding, Pascagoula, Miss., is being awarded a $6,740,494 firm-fixed-price agreement modification for the DD 21 Permanent Magnet Motor Design. Bath Iron Works Corp. has been selected by the DD 21 Alliance to lead and execute this modification. Work will be performed by the "Blue Team" led by Bath Iron Works, Bath, Maine, with Lockheed Martin Government Electronic Systems, Moorestown, N.J. (50%), and the "Gold Team" led by Ingalls Shipbuilding, Pascagoula, Miss. with Raytheon Systems Company, Falls Church, Va. (50%). Work is expected to be completed by December 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity. (N00024-98-9-2300, modification 0034).

Solipsys Corp., Laurel, Md., is being awarded a $6,507,899 cost-plus-fixed-fee delivery order against a previously awarded indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract (N00421-01-D-0080) for installation of common interoperability packages on 7th Fleet ships and to provide self-contained interoperability packages as mobile land nodes in support of Theatre-Wide Collaborative Tracking (TCT) USN 7th Fleet and Pacific Missile Facility (PMRF) Interoperability Demonstrations. Work will be performed in Okinawa, Japan (33%); Sasebo, Japan (24%); Seoul, Korea (17%); Lihue, Hawaii (15%); Sydney, Australia (6%); and Dam Neck, Va., (5%), and is expected to be completed by December 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

Lockheed Martin Corp., Naval Electronics & Surveillance Systems (LMNE&SS), Manassas, Va., is being awarded a $5,997,589 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to develop innovative concepts and techniques for shallow-water processing of mobile towed-array acoustic data. The Advanced Technology Office of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) sponsors this effort under the Robust Passive Sonar Program. Work will be performed in Manassas, Va. (21%); Burlington, Mass. (18%); and San Diego, Calif. (16%); Syracuse, N.Y. (15%); St. Paul, Minn. (11%); Seattle, Wash. (11%); and Reston, Va. (8%), and is expected to be completed by May 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively awarded utilizing a broad agency announcement that was posted to the Commerce Business Daily, with five offers received. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (N00024-01-C-6318).

Solipsys Corp., Laurel, Md., is being awarded a $5,185,000 cost-plus-fixed-fee delivery order against a previously awarded indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract (N00421-01-D-0080) for hardware components in support of Theatre-Wide Collaborative Tracking (TCT) USN 7th Fleet and Pacific Missile Facility (PMRF) Interoperability Demonstrations. Work will be performed in Laurel, Md., (90%), Sasebo, Japan (3%), Sydney, Australia (2%), Okinawa, Japan (2%), Dam Neck, Va., (1%), Lihue, Hawaii (1%), and Seoul, Korea (1%), and is expected to be completed by December 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

AIR FORCE

Litton Systems Inc., San Carlos, Calif., is being awarded a $8,939,423 (estimated) firm-fixed-requirements type contract to provide for three years of repair services for the traveling wave tubes applicable to the APF-68 radar on the F-16 C/D aircraft. Funds will be obligated as individual delivery orders are issued. This work is to be completed by May 2004. Solicitation began September 2000; negotiations were completed May 2001. Ogden Air Logistics Center, Hill AFB, Utah, is the contracting activity (F42620-01-D-0025).
