Electric Boat Corp., Groton, Conn., is being awarded a $53,993,388 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract modification to exercise an option for developmental studies and design efforts related to Virginia class submarines. The contractor will continue developmental studies and design efforts related to components and systems, to accomplish research and development tasks and prototypes and engineering development models required to fully evaluate new technologies for the program. Work will be performed in Groton, Conn. (94%), Quonset, R.I. (5%) and Newport, R.I. (1%), and is expected to be completed by June 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity.
Bell-Boeing Joint Program Office, Patuxent River, Md., is being awarded a $10,107,937 modification to a previously awarded time and material delivery order against an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract (N00019-99-D-1536) to provide additional funding for the fiscal year 2001 continuation of the Software Support Activity for the V-22. Work will be performed in Ridley Township, Pa. (85%) and Fort Worth, Texas (15%), and is expected to be completed in December 2001. Contract funds in the amount of $363,999 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.
