AIR FORCE

Pratt & Whitney, East Hartford Conn., is being awarded a $6,153,732 firm-fixed-price contract to provide for purchasing of spare parts, 149 each fan duct, turbine for the F100-200/220E engine of the F-15/F-16 aircraft. The work is expected to be completed May 2002. At this time $6,165,964 of the funds have been obligated. There were 20 firms solicited and six proposals were received. Solicitation began February 2001; negotiations were completed March 2001. The work will be performed in El Cajon, San Diego, Calif. Oklahoma City Air Logistics Command, Tinker Air Force Base, Okla. is the contracting activity (F34601-01-G-0006-0022).

DEFENSE ADVANCED RESEARCH PROJECTS AGENCY

Honeywell International Inc., Engines & Systems, Torrance, Calif., is being awarded a $1,649,694 increment as part of a $7,374,608 cost sharing/no-fee, completion contract (government cost-share $6,228,753 and contractor cost-share $1,145,855), for the Solid Oxide Fuel Cell (SOFC) Palm Power Program. The contractor will develop and demonstrate a high-performance, high power density solid oxide fuel cell (i.e., 20-W, 12 VDC SOFC) palm power system operating on JP-8 fuel. The performance focuses on system design, performance analysis and modeling, JP-8 fuel direct oxidation development, high-performance SOFC development, thermal management, system component development, prototype concept and demonstration, and program management. Work will be performed in Torrance, Calif. (59.41%); Philadelphia, Pa. (23.87%); Minneapolis, Minn. (5.97%), and Broomfield, Colo. (10.75%), and completion is expected by June 20, 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There was a broad agency announcement in the Commerce Business Daily on Dec. 8, 2000, and 75 bids were received. The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (MDA972-01-C-0067).

CIVIL WORKS - NON MILITARY

TJC Engineering Inc.*, Prospect, Ky., is being awarded a delivery order amount of $120,000 as part of a $30,000,000 (total if options are exercised) firm-fixed-price, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract for maintenance/repairs, construction and design/build projects for the Louisville District Corps of Engineers. Work will be performed within the Louisville, Ky. district mission boundaries, and completion is expected by June 20, 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 110 bids solicited on April 10, 2001, and 12 bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville, Ky., is the contracting activity (DACW27-01-D-0005).

NAVY

Breeze-Eastern, Union, N.J., is being awarded a $5,897,095 modification to exercise an option to previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract N68335-99-C-0005 for the procurement of 199 HLU-196D/E Bomb Hoists; 100 HLU-196D/E Bomb Hoist Battery Pack Recharge Units, and 100 HLU-196D/E Bomb Hoist AC Adapter Units. Work will be performed in Union, N.J., and is expected to be completed in March 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, N.J., is the contracting activity.
