ARMY

General Dynamics Land Systems Inc., Sterling Heights, Mich., is being awarded a $24,594,096 delivery order amount as part of firm-fixed-price contract DAAE07-01-G-N001, for Wolverine Heavy Assault Bridge production. Work will be performed at the Lima Army Tank Plant, Lima, Ohio (77%); Scranton, Pa. (18%); Muskegon, Mich. (3%), and Imperial, Calif. (2%), and completion is expected by Oct. 30, 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on April 10, 2001. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity.

Harkins Builders Inc., Marriottsville, Md., was awarded on June 21, 2001, a $12,761,388 firm-fixed-price construction contract for the revitalization of 148 family housing quarters. Work will be performed at Fort Belvoir, Va., and completion is expected by March 31, 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 45 bids solicited on April 27, 2001, and four bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore, Md., is the contracting activity (DACA31-01-C-0025).

Lockheed Martin Corp., Missiles and Fire Control-Dallas, Grand Prairie, Texas, is being awarded a $5,733,000 increment as part of a $6,300,000 modification to cost-plus-award-fee contract DAAH01-00-C-0002. The Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS), High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS), is a C-130 transportable, wheeled, all weather, indirect fire, rocket/missile system that is capable of firing all rockets and missiles in the current and future MLRS family of munitions. This modification incorporates the revised HIMARS Maturation Detailed Test Schedule, includes post baseline software support through fiscal year 2002, as required for software maintenance, the layout design, and installation verification of the low cost fire control panel, and requirements analysis for Enhanced Position Location Reporting System and the headless appliqu. Work will be performed in Grand Prairie, Texas, and completion is expected by April 30, 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Dec. 22, 1999. The U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity.

CIVIL WORKS - NON MILITARY

Tri-State Design Construction Co. Inc./KC Construction Co., a joint venture, Elkins Park, Pa., is being awarded a $5,569,989 firm-fixed-price construction contract for the local flood protection project in Scranton, Pa. Completion of the work is expected by March 31, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 31 bids solicited on March 26, 2001, and three bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore, Md., is the contracting activity (DACW31-01-C-0036).

AIR FORCE

Radian Inc., Alexandria, Va., is being awarded a $17,876,908 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract to provide components for the Deployable Power Generator Distribution System. This system is composed of 1,244 25 Kilowatt power distribution panels, 432 secondary distribution centers, one cable 500 Million Circular Mills and one cable 4/0 Air Wire Gauge. Air Armament Center, Eglin Air Force Base, Fla., is the contracting activity (F08635-01-C-0042, P00003).

Spiral Technology, Inc., Lancaster, Calif. is being awarded a $7,855,939 cost-plus-fixed- fee contract to provide for advanced research and engineering advisory and assistance services in support of the Air Force Flight Test Center, Edwards Air Force Base, Calif. This effort consists of analytical, numerical, systems and affordability/ failure analysis, experimental testing, data acquisition and reduction, hardware design and development, software development, financial and technical advice, and acquisition support and management. At this time, $50,000 of the funds have been obligated. This work is expected to be completed June 2004. This effort will be performed by Spiral Technology, Inc. at the Air Force Flight Test Center, Edwards Air Force Base, Calif. NAVY

Noesis, Inc., Arlington, Va., is being awarded a $9,504,232 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for the development, design, prototype, manufacture, installation, test and certification of high performance brushes in support of the high performance brush technology program. Work will be performed in Portsmouth, N.H. (50%), and Charlottesville, Va. (50%), and is expected to be complete by May 2006. Contract funds in the amount of $80,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, DC, is the contracting activity (N00024-01-C-2906).

Comptek Amherst Systems, Inc., Buffalo, N.Y., is being awarded a $6,948,956 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract (N00019-99-C-1472) to exercise an option for the procurement of one Mobile Remote Emitter Simulator (MRES) and two Combat Electromagnetic Environment Simulators equipment to support the MRES. Work will be performed in Buffalo, N.Y., and is expected to be completed by May 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

General Electric Aircraft Engines, Lynn, Mass., is being awarded a $5,096,380 priced basic ordering agreement order of for 13,774 high pressure turbine blades used on the F-404 engine in F/A-18 aircraft. Work will be performed in Lynn, Mass., and is expected completed by June 2003. Funds being used are Defense Base Operations Fund and will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Medstone International, Inc., Aliso Vieja, Calif., is being awarded a $6,000,000 firm- fixed-price, indefinite-quantity type contract for renal extracorporeal lithotripsy system for the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Marine Corps, federal civilian agencies and foreign governments in California. There were 14 proposals solicited and four responded. Performance completion date is expected for June 24, 2002. Funds will not expire by the end of fiscal year 2001.
