AIR FORCE

Allison Engine Co./Rolls Royce Corp., Indianapolis, Ind. is being awarded a $1,402,316,400 firm-fixed-price requirements contract to provide for various quantities of 346 spare parts for the T-56 engine applicable to the C-130 aircraft. Funds will be obligated as individual delivery orders are issued. This work is expected to be completed July 2013. Solicitation began July 2000; negotiations were completed June 2001. There were four firms solicited and one proposal received. Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center, Tinker Air Force Base is the contracting activity (F34601-01-D-0155).

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc., San Diego, Calif., is being awarded a $16,016,421 modification to a cost plus fixed fee contract to provide for 12 Predator unmanned aerial reconnaissance vehicles. At this time, $2,450,769 of the funds have been obligated. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-00-C-4010-P00014).

McDonnell Douglas training Systems, St. Louis, Mo., is being awarded a $7,233,097 (estimated) firm-fixed-price contract to provide for incorporation of terrain awareness warning system, into each of the 13 weapon system trainers and cockpit systems simulator for the training of C-17 aircrews. Work is expected to be completed January 2006. This effort will be performed in BAE Systems Control Inc, Johnson City, N.Y. (68%) and other locations. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-98-D-2030).

ARMY

General Dynamics Armament Systems Inc., Burlington, Vt., is being awarded a $12,468,538 firm-fixed-price contract, with two option periods, for 832 grenade machine guns (MK19). Work will be performed in Saco, Maine, and completion is expected by Sept. 30, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Nov. 6, 2000. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command, Rock Island, Ill., is the contracting activity (DAAE20-01-C-0090).

McDonnell Douglas Helicopter Co., Mesa, Ariz., is being awarded a $5,966,362 delivery order amount, as part of a not-to-exceed $12,176,250 firm-fixed-price, unpriced order for 750 rotary rudder blades applicable to the AH-64 Apache helicopter. Work will be performed in Mesa, Ariz., and completion is expected by July 5, 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on June 19, 2001. The U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (DAAH23-99-G-0014).

General Dynamics Government Systems Corp., Taunton, Mass., is being awarded a $5,818,499 modification to firm-fixed-price contract DAAB07-94-C-N853, to exercise options for common hardware/software items for the Project Manager Army Tactical Command and Control Systems computers and associated peripherals for battlefield commanders. Work will be performed in Taunton, Mass., and completion is expected by April 10, 2005. Of the total contract funds $3,907 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 50 bids solicited on April 21, 1994, and three bids were received. The U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command, Fort Monmouth, N.J., is the contracting activity.

United Defense Limited Partnership, Ground Systems Division, York, Pa., is being awarded a $5,595,714 modification to cost-plus-fixed-fee contract DAAE07-01-C-N030, for partial exercise of an option for systems technical support for the U.S. Army. Work will be performed in York, Pa. (65%), and Anniston, Ala. (35%), and completion is expected by Sept. 30, 2003. Of the total contract funds, $1,595,714 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Oct. 17, 2000. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity.

NAVY

Titan Systems Corp., Eldyne, Inc. Division, San Diego, Calif., is being awarded an $11,666,476 indefinite-delivery/indefinite quantity-type contract with a firm-fixed-price and time and material pricing arrangement for engineering, development, production and related technical support services for Antenna Tilting Group Systems and related equipment. This contract contains options, which if exercised, will bring the total cumulative value of this contract to $60,724,714. Work will be performed in Mineral Wells, Texas (60%); San Diego, Calif. (30%); and onboard U.S. Navy vessels and shore activities worldwide (10%), and work is expected to be completed by June 2002. Contract funds in the amount of $1,495,814 will expire by the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured, published in the Commerce Business Daily and posted to the SPAWAR Business Opportunities web site with three offers received. The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity (N66001-01-D-0028).

Innovasystems International LLC, Alpine, Calif., is being awarded a $5,490,393 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract with a cost-plus-fixed-fee pricing arrangement in support of Type Commanders Readiness Management System (TRMS). TRMS is a readiness and analysis system that pulls together a wide range of fleet readiness data. This contract contains one one-year option, which if exercised, will bring the total cumulative value of this contract to $11,290,747. Work will be performed in Alpine, Calif. (10%), and various government sites (90%), and work will be completed by May 2003. Contract funds in the amount of $495,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was sole source procured in accordance with FAR 6302-1, published in the Commerce Business Daily and posted to the SPAWAR Business Opportunities web site. The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity (N66001-01-D-5001).
