General Dynamics, Ordnance and Tactical Systems, St. Petersburg, Fla., is being awarded $41,088,708 as part of a not-to-exceed $82,177,416 firm-fixed-price contract for contractor services for various ammunition for the country of Kuwait. Work will be performed in St. Petersburg, Fla., and completion is expected by July 31, 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract (alpha contracting techniques are being utilized). The U.S. Army Operations Support Command, Rock Island, Ill., is the contracting activity (DAAA09-01-C-0020).


Sparton Defense Electronics, DeLeon Springs, Fla., is being awarded an $8,271,893 ceiling amount cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for engineering development services in support of the technical evolution of the Sonobuoy Program. Work will be performed in DeLeon Springs, Fla., and is expected to be completed in July 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The contract was procured on a restricted basis in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302, as approved by Justification and Approval Number CR10249. There was one proposal solicited, and one offer was received. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Crane, Ind., is the contracting activity (N00164-01-D-0027).


Boeing Aerospace Operations Inc., Midwest City, Okla., is being awarded an $8,224,986 firm-fixed-price contract to provide for courseware development and aircrew training in support of the F-15/16 aircraft. At this time, $757,350 of funds have been obligated. Solicitation was advertised on the Electronic Posting System (therefore, the number of solicited is unknown), and two proposals were submitted. The work will be performed at various locations worldwide. This work is expected to be completed September 2002. Solicitation began March 2001; negotiations were completed May 2001. The Air Combat Command Contracting Squadron, Langley Air Force Base, Va., is the contracting activity (F44650-01-C-0006).
