ARMY

General Dynamics Land Systems Inc., Sterling Heights, Mich., is being awarded a $15,196,991 increment as part of a $92,069,748 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for research, development, testing and evaluation to integrate the Abrams/Crusader Common Engine into the Abrams M1A2 System Enhancement Program (SEP) tank and the Abrams M1A1 Abrams Integrated Management (AIM) tank. Deliverables include contractor modification instructions for converting tanks with the current engine to use the new Abrams/Crusader common engine, development and delivery of drawings with the vehicle changes necessary to use the new engine, test reports and other data. Nine tanks (four SEP and five AIM) will be converted and used for testing and engineering efforts. Work will be performed in Sterling Heights, Mich., and completion is expected by Dec. 31, 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Jan. 16, 2001. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity (DAAE07-01-C-N087).

American Apparel Inc., Selma, Ala., is being awarded $3,495 as part of a $53,031,095 firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to produce Marine Corps combat utility uniforms (MCCUU) (50 first article test items, up to 20,000 set of production test items and up to 880,000 sets of MCCUUs). Work will be performed in Selma**, Ala., and completion is expected by July 31, 2006. There was an announcement on the World Wide Web on April 10, 2001, and four bids were received. Propper International Sales, Saint Charles, Mo., is being awarded $2,266 as part of a $52,911,066 firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for Marine Corps combat utility uniform (MCCUU) (50 first article test items, up to 20,000 set of production test items and up to 880,000 sets of MCCUUs). Work will be performed in Puerto Rico, at large, and completion is expected by July 31, 2006. There was an announcement on the World Wide Web on April 10, 2001, and four bids were received. The U.S. Army Robert Morris Acquisition Center, Natick Contracting Division, Natick, Mass., is the contracting activity (DAAD16-01-D-0009).

EA Industries*, San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico, is being awarded $2,817 as part of a $25,494,817 firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to produce Marine Corps combat utility uniforms (MCCUU) (50 first article test items, up to 6,000 set of production test items and up to 440,000 sets of MCCUUs). Work will be performed in San Lorenzo**, Puerto Rico, and completion is expected by July 31, 2006. There was an announcement on the World Wide Web on April 10, 2001, and four bids were received. The U.S. Army Robert Morris Acquisition Center, Natick Contracting Division, Natick, Mass., is the contracting activity (DAAD16-01-D-0010).

Raytheon Technical Services Co., Reston, Va., is being awarded a $15,204,427 firm-fixed-price contract to procure and deliver Russian safety and support equipment to the Russian Federation of Sergei v Postal Abram avo Russia. Work will be performed in Russia, and completion is expected by Dec. 30, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 10 bids solicited on May 9, 2001, and five bids were received. The Defense Threat Reduction Agency, Fort Belvoir, Va., is the contracting activity (DTRA01-01-C-0046).

DEFENSE INFORMATION SYSTEMS AGENCY

Booz-Allen & Hamilton Inc., Falls Church, Va.; Sytex Inc.*, Doylestown, Pa.; Arrowhead Space & Telecommunications Inc.*, Falls Church, Va.; and Communication Technologies Inc.*, Chantilly, Va., are being awarded contracts for scientific, engineering and technical assistance to the National Communications System (NCS-SETA). The contract life is for a one-year base period with four one-year options. The ceiling value for all four contracts if all options are exercised is $65,000,000. Each awardee is guaranteed a minimum award of $710,000 for the basic performance period, as well as $710,000 for each option period if exercised. This procurement included a full and open segment, a small business set-aside segment and an 8(a) Program segment. The solicitation was published on the World Wide Web with nine offers received. The Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization-National Capital Region, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (Booz-Allen & Hamilton Inc. - DCA100-01-D-4001; Sytex Inc. - DCA100-01-D-4002; Arrowhead Space & Telecommunications Inc. - DCA100-01-D-4003; and Communication Technologies Inc. -DCA100-01-D-4004).

NAVY

Lockheed Martin Integrated Systems Inc., a Lockheed Martin company, Syracuse, N.Y., is being awarded an $11,332,089 modification to previously awarded cost-plus-fixed-fee contract (N00024-99-C-6212) to exercise an option for additional engineering services and support to the Omnibus Towed Systems Program for TB-29A/BQ Towed Array development. Work will be performed in Syracuse, N.Y. (60%), and Sylmar, Calif. (40%), and is expected to be completed in December 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity.

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Labat-Anderson Inc., McLean, Va., is being awarded an $11,179,952 firm-fixed-price contract. This was a commercial activities study conducted in accordance with OMB Circular A-76 for operations of warehousing and distribution for the Defense Distribution Depot, Cherry Point, N.C. There were 300 proposals solicited, and eight responded. Performance completion date is set for Nov. 9, 2006. Funds will not expire at the end of fiscal year 2001. The Defense Supply Center Columbus, Columbus, Ohio, is the contracting activity (SP0710-01-D-7002).
