DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

GEMS Information Technology, Milwaukee, Wis., is being awarded a $30,000,000 indefinite-delivery type contract to provide electronic cataloging for all military and federal agencies worldwide. Work is to begin on Sept. 13, 2001, and is expected to be completed by Sept. 12, 2006. There were 368 proposals solicited, and 63 responded. The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SP0200-01-D-8064).

SYSCO Louisville, Louisville, Ky., is being awarded a $18,900,000 firm-fixed-price with indefinite-quantity type contract for providing prime vendor food and beverage support for Department of Defense and non-DoD customers in Kentucky, Tennessee and surrounding locations. Work is expected to be completed by Nov. 2, 2002. Contract funds will expire at the end of this fiscal year. There were 31 proposals solicited, and four responded. Petro Star Valdez Inc., Anchorage, Ak., is being awarded a $18,812,056 fixed-price with economic price adjustment type contract to provide 225,000 gallons of AVGAS, 1,335,000 gallons of MUR, 12,275,000 gallons of DFA, 405,000 gallons of FS1, 663,000 gallons of FS2, 375,000 gallons of Jet A50, and 6,645,000 gallons of HS2 for the U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, federal civilian agencies and the U.S. Coast Guard in Alaska. Work is expected to be completed by Oct. 30, 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 113 proposals solicited, and 20 responded. The Defense Energy Support Center, Fort Belvoir, Va., is the contracting activity (SP0600-01-D-1273).

IGI Resources Inc., Boise, Idaho, is being awarded a $8,800,826 firm-fixed-price type contract to provide 2,634,978 dekatherms of direct supply natural gas for the U.S. Navy and Air Force at seven sites in Washington state. Work is to begin on Oct. 1, 2001 and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2002. There were 77 proposals solicited, and two responded. The Defense Energy Support Center, Fort Belvoir, Va., is the contracting activity (SP0600-01-D-7645).

Pocono Produce Co.*, Stroudsburg, Pa., is being awarded a $6,000,000 firm-fixed-price with indefinite-quantity type contract for providing full line food distribution for the U.S. Army and other federal customers in the Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Southern New York areas. This award is a one-year contract with four one-year options. Work is expected to be completed by Sept. 16, 2002. Funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 42 proposals solicited, and three responded. The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SP0300-01-D-3019).

NAVY

Bell-Boeing, Joint Project Office, Patuxent River, Md., was awarded on Sept. 11, 2001, an $11,871,232 modification to a previously awarded cost-plus-fixed-fee contract (N00019-99-C-1090) to update existing technical manuals, drawings, interactive electronic technical manuals, technical databases and various data and documentation media used in support of the V-22 aircraft organization-level maintenance. Work will be performed in Philadelphia, Pa. (67%), and Fort Worth, Texas (33%), and is expected to be completed in September 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

Science Applications International Corp., Midwest City, Okla., was awarded on Sept. 11, 2001, $9,034,796; CACI Field Services Inc., Chantilly, Va., $7,994,328; and Resource Consultants Inc., Vienna, Va., $7,597,272 in a multiple award indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to provide technical support services for the Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP), Mechanicsburg, Pa., and its associated field activities. Services include independent analysis and technical studies as well as project management and trouble shooting in response to tasks involving the development and initiatives assigned to NAVSUP. The contract includes contains options which, if exercised, would bring the total cumulative not-to-exceed value to $53,000,000. Work will be performed in Washington, D.C.; Mechanicsburg, Pa.; and other NAVSUP field activity sites as specified on individual delivery orders. Work is expected to be completed by September 2002. Contract funds will not expire by the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured through Commerce Business Daily announcement with five offers received, and three are receiving award. These three contractors may compete for task orders under the terms and conditions of the awarded contract. The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Norfolk, Detachment Washington, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity (Science Applications International Corp. - N00600-01-D-7114; CACI Field Services Inc. - N00600-01-D-7113; and Resource Consultants Inc. - N00600-01-D-5476).

Bens Asphalt Inc., Santa Ana, Calif., was awarded on Sept. 11, 2001, a maximum amount of $8,405,862 with a guaranteed minimum of $5,000 firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity facilities support contract to provide all labor, equipment, materials, transportation and supervision necessary to perform asphalt/concrete repairs and incidental related work at various military installations in California. This contract contains options which, if exercised, will bring the total cumulative value of this contract to $44,511,731. Work will be performed at various areas at the Marine Corps Base, Camp Pendleton; Naval Ordnance Center, Fallbrook; and other military bases in San Diego, Orange and Los Angeles counties in California and is expected to be completed September 2002. Contract funds in the amount of $5,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 41 proposals solicited and 12 offers received. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Southwest Division, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity (N68711-01-D-2104).
