AIR FORCE

TRW ICBM Systems, Clearfield, Utah, is being awarded a $180,910,341 option on a contract to provide for fiscal year 2002 full rate production in support of the Guidance Replacement Program for the Minuteman III weapon system. This effort includes 80 NS-50 missile guidance sets, 36 RS cable sets, two missile guidance set controls, two missile guidance computers, three gyro stabilized platforms and three gyro compass assemblies. At this time, the total amount of funds has been obligated. This work will be complete July 2004. The Ogden Air Logistics Center, Hill Air Force Base, Utah, is the contracting activity (F42610-98-C-0001).

United Technologies Corp., San Antonio, Texas, is being awarded a $19,234,000 firm-fixed-price contract to provide for overhaul and upgrade of 18 F-100-PW-200C engines to F100-PW-220E configuration engines for the Royal Thailand Air Force Upgrade Program. At this time, the total amount of funds has been obligated. This work will be complete October 2002. Solicitation began April 2001; negotiations were complete September 2001. This effort supports military sales to Thailand. The Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center, Tinker Air Force, Okla., is the contracting activity (F34601-01-C-0396).

DEFENSE COMMISSARY AGENCY

Farmland National Beef Packing Co., Kansas City, Mo., was awarded an $88,635,025 requirements-type contract on Oct. 24, 2001, to provide and deliver fresh beef products to Defense Commissary Agency stores in the midwestern United States, as well as Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, Louisiana and North and South Carolina. The beef will be produced in National's Liberal, Kansas, plant. The contract completion date is Oct. 31, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 45 firms solicited, and four proposals were received. The Defense Commissary Agency, Subsistence Contracting Division, Fort Lee, Va., is the contracting activity (DECA02-02-D-0001).

IBP Inc., Dakota Dunes, S.D., was awarded a $15,878,585 requirements-type contract on Oct. 24, 2001, to provide and deliver fresh beef products to Defense Commissary Agency stores in Georgia, Florida, Alabama and Tennessee. The beef will be produced in IBP's Lexington, Nebraska, plant. The contract completion date is Oct. 31, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 45 firms solicited, and four proposals were received. The Defense Commissary Agency, Subsistence Contracting Division, Fort Lee, Va., is the contracting activity (DECA02-02-D-0002).
