ARMY

Chamberlain Manufacturing Corp., Scranton, Pa., is being awarded a $3,710,912 increment of an $8,621,458 firm-fixed-price, multi-year contract with a cumulative total of $109,061,073. The contractor will manufacture, test, inspect, package and deliver 120 millimeter mortar cartridges (smoke, visible light illumination/infrared illumination, full range training round and high explosive cartridges) to include five options (the last option being for replenishment quantities and available for exercise over a four-year period). Work will be performed in Scranton, Pa., and completion is expected by June 30, 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were eight bids solicited on July 23, 2001, and one bid was received. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command, Picatinny Arsenal, N.J., is the contracting activity (DAAE30-02-C-1001).

TRW Inc., System Engineering and Development Division, Carson, Calif., is being awarded a $1,800,000 increment of a $22,281,048 (base year total) cost-plus-fixed-fee contract with an estimated cumulative total of $47,436,232 for fiscal year 2002 and fiscal year 2003 contractor logistics support for sustainment of the Tactical Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Hunter System. Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif. (18%), and Sierra Vista, Ariz. (82%), and completion is expected by Oct. 29, 2003. Of the total contract funds, $1,800,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on July 24, 2001. The U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (DAAH01-02-C-0009).

AIR FORCE

North American Airlines Contractor Team, Sterling, Va., is being awarded a $13,107,586 firm-fixed-price contract modification to provide for international airlift services from November 2001 through September 2002 in support of Air Mobility Command. Funds will be obligated as individual delivery orders are issued. This effort will be performed by World Airways Inc., Herndon, Va. Air Mobility Command, Scott Air Force Base, Ill., is the contracting activity (F11626-01-D-0027, P00003).

NAVY

BAE Systems, Reconnaissance and Surveillance Systems, Syosset, N.Y., is being awarded a $12,776,814 firm-fixed-price contract to procure six Advanced Tactical Airborne Reconnaissance System (ATARS) data link pods, ATARS data link pod containers, sustaining engineering, integrated logistics support, postproduction support and other related data in support of the F/A-18 aircraft. Work will be performed in Syosset, N.Y., and is expected to be completed in July 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00019-01-C-0047).
