ARMY

Chamberlain Manufacturing Corp., Scranton, Pa., was awarded on Nov. 9, 2001, a $3,710,912 increment of an $8,621,458 firm-fixed-price, multi-year contract with a cumulative total of $109,061,073. The contractor will manufacture, test, inspect, package and deliver 120-millimeter mortar cartridges (smoke, visible light illumination/infrared illumination, full range training round and high explosive cartridges) to include five options (the last option being for replenishment quantities and available for exercise over a four-year period). Work will be performed in Scranton, Pa., and completion is expected by June 30, 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were eight bids solicited on July 23, 2001, and one bid was received. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command, Picatinny Arsenal, N.J., is the contracting activity (DAAE30-02-C-1001).

Lockheed Martin Corp., Missile and Fire Control-Dallas, Grand Prairie, Texas, is being awarded a $36,132,500 increment as part of a $72,265,000 modification to firm-fixed-price contract DAAH01-00-C-0044 for 485 Extended Range Multiple Launch Rocket System rockets for the country of Egypt. Work will be performed in Camden, Ark. (94%), and Grand Prairie, Texas (6%), and completion is expected by Oct. 31, 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract. The U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity.

Northrop Grumman Corp., Electronic Sensors & Systems Sector, Rolling Meadows, Ill., is being awarded $17,801,912 as part of a $20,861,912 (base year total) firm-fixed-price contract with an estimated cumulative total of $68,445,613 if all options are exercised. The contractor will provide 11 AN/TPQ-36(V)8 radar set kits and associated spares in the base year. There are three options, for a total of 28 additional kits and associated spares. Fielding and engineering support will be obtained on a time and material basis. Work will be performed in Rolling Meadows, Ill., and completion is expected by Jan. 31, 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on June 26, 2001. The U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command, Fort Monmouth, N.J., is the contracting activity (DAAB07-02-C-H302).

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., Akron, Ohio, is being awarded a $5,959,461 delivery order amount as part of firm-fixed-price contract DAAE07-98-D-T041 for 54,489 tracks for the Bradley vehicle. Work will be performed in St. Marys, Ohio, and completion is expected by Sept. 30, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on April 23, 1998. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity.

AIR FORCE

BAE Systems, Yonkers, N.Y., is being awarded a $21,856,416 firm-fixed-price contract to provide for 30 AN/ALR-56M radar warning receiver shipsets, production support and applicable technical data in support of foreign military sales and U.S. Air Force programs. Each shipset is comprised of four direction finding receivers, one analysis processor, one super heterodyne control, one superheterodyme receiver and one CD band receiver power supply. At this time, the total amount of funds has been obligated. This work will be complete May 2003. Solicitation began February 2001; negotiations were completed October 2001. The Warner Robins Air Logistics Center, Robins Air Force Base, Ga., is the contracting activity (F09603-01-C-0241).

Lockheed Martin Corp., Marietta, Ga., is being awarded a $5,000,000 cost-plus award-fee and firm-fixed-price with economic price adjustment contract modification to provide for fiscal year 2002 engineering manufacturing development effort for the C-5 Avionics Modernization Program. At this time, the total amount of funds has been obligated. This work will be complete November 2001. The Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-98-C-0006, P00041).

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Hovensa LLC, St. Croix, Virgin Islands, is being awarded a $6,501,863 fixed-price with economic price adjustment for 9,870,000 U.S. gallons of turbine fuel, aviation grade JP-5 for the Defense Energy Support Center. Performance completion date is scheduled for Nov. 30, 2001. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were eight proposals solicited, and two responded. The Defense Energy Support Center, Fort Belvoir, Va., is the contracting activity (SP0600-02-D-0464).

NAVY

McDonnell Douglas Corp., St. Louis, Mo., a wholly owned subsidiary of the Boeing Co., is being awarded a $5,970,839 delivery order under a long-term contract for continuing repair of ailerons, flaps, horizontal stabilizers and radomes in support of F/A-18 aircraft. Work will be performed in Mesa, Ariz., and is expected to be completed in October 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Inventory Control Point, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (N00383-98-D-003H)(Order 0015).
