ARMY

McDonnell Douglas Helicopter Co., Mesa, Ariz., is being awarded a $241,993,426 firm-fixed-price contract for the remanufacture of 35 Egyptian Air Force AH-64D Apache helicopters with fire control radar/radio frequency interferometer provisions for the country of Egypt. Work will be performed in Mesa, Ariz., and completion is expected by Aug. 31, 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract. The U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (DAAH23-01-C-0195).

Rolls-Royce Allison, Indianapolis, Ind., is being awarded $13,171,200 as part of a $26,880,000 firm-fixed-price contract for the overhaul of 160 T-63-A720 engines applicable to the OH-58A/C Kiowa helicopters and associated engineering and publications changes. Work will be performed in Oakland, Calif., and completion is expected by Feb. 28, 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Oct. 26, 2001. The U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (DAAH23-02-C-0045).

Northrop Grumman Corp., Linthicum, Md., was awarded on Nov. 8, 2001, a $6,688,304 firm-fixed-price contract for 468 vehicular intercom systems, spare parts and a field service representative for the Saudi Arabia National Guard Retrofit Program. Work will be performed in Linthicum, Md., and completion is expected by Dec. 30, 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on July 13, 2001. The U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command, Fort Monmouth, N.J., is the contracting activity (DAAB07-02-C-M003).

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Equilon Enterprises LLC, Houston, Texas, is being awarded a $25,876,870 fixed-price with economic adjustment for 39,480,000 U.S. gallons of turbine fuel, aviation grade JP-5 for the Defense Energy Support Center. Work will be performed in Deer Park, Texas. Performance completion date is expected to be Nov. 30, 2001. Contract funds will expire at the end of this fiscal year. There were eight proposals solicited, and two responded. The Defense Energy Support Center, Fort Belvoir, Va., is the contracting activity (SP0600-02-D-0465).

NAVY

Raytheon Co., Arlington, Texas, is being awarded a $19,755,640 modification to a previously awarded fixed-price-incentive-fee contract (N61339-00-C-0002) to exercise an option for Suites 3 and 4 of the Aviation Combined Arms Tactical Trainer - Aviation Reconfigurable Manned Simulator (AVCATT-A) for the U.S. Army. The AVCATT-A is a group of fully interactive, networked and reconfigurable aviation manned simulators that permit Army aviation units to conduct collective task training on a real-time, computerized battlefield in a combined arms scenario. Work will be performed in Arlington, Texas, and is expected to be completed by October 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division, Orlando, Florida, is the contracting activity.

Lockheed Martin Systems Integration, Oswego, N.Y., is being awarded a $7,748,275 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for repair and testing of the common cockpit of the MH-60S helicopter. Work will be performed in Oswego, N.Y., and is expected to be completed by November 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Inventory Control Point, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (N00383-02-D-001N).

Litton Systems Inc., Integrated Systems Division, San Diego, Calif., is being awarded a $6,230,000 firm-fixed-price contract for the fiscal year 2001 procurement of four shipboard air traffic control AN/UPX-24 interrogator sets. Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif. (85%), and Northridge, Calif. (15%), and is expected to be completed by June 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems Command Headquarters, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00019-01-C-0004).

AIR FORCE

PAE Government Services Inc., Los Angeles, Calif., is being awarded a $7,704,638 cost-plus-award-fee contract to provide for phase-in (December 2001 through February 2002) and base operation maintenance services from March through September 2002 at Moron Air Base and Zaragoza Air Base, Spain. This effort will include program management, civil engineering, transportation (vehicle management and maintenance and Traffic Management Office), base supply/fuels, services (food, lodging, library, pool and fitness equipment maintenance services), transient alert, aerospace ground equipment maintenance and ambulance and occupational health services. The requirement also includes extensive contingency and exercise support. At this time, the total amount of funds has been obligated. This work will be complete September 2002. Solicitation was posted via a Federal Business Opportunities announcement in March 2001, and five proposals were received. Negotiations were completed in September 2001. The contractor will perform this effort at the aforementioned locations. U.S. Air Forces in Europe Contracting Squadron is the contracting activity (F61521-02-C-5400).
