AIR FORCE

McDonnell Douglas Corp., Berkeley, Mo., was awarded on Dec. 27, 2001, a $479,992,859 firm-fixed-price contract modification to provide for 11, 332 Joint Direct Attack Munition (JDAM) Lot 6 guided vehicles. The JDAM weapon system provides the Air Force and the Navy with an improved aerial delivery capability for existing 1,000- and 2,000-pound bombs. The JDAM is strap-on-kit with inertial navigation system/global positioning system capability. At this time, the total amount of funds has been obligated. This work will be complete October 2003. The locations of performance are Honeywell Inc., Minneapolis, Minn. (31%), and other locations. The Air Armament Center, Eglin Air Force Base, Fla., is the contracting activity (F08635-01-C-0027, P00009).

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

WATEC Inc.*, Jonesboro, Ga., is being awarded a $24,642,026 firm-fixed-price, indefinite-quantity contract for direct vendor delivery for approximately 3,140 national stock numbers and 1,988 non-national stock numbers, as well as services for training, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of selected reverse osmosis water purification unit models for the U.S. Army and U.S. Marine Corps. This contract award is for a two-year base period with eight option years (for a total of 10 years) valued at $136,755,930. Performance completion date is for 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were seven proposals solicited, and two responded. The Defense Supply Center Columbus, Columbus, Ohio, is the contracting activity (SP0750-02-D-7869).

ARMY

Gowan Construction Inc., Oslo, Minn., is being awarded a $4,000,000 construction contract with a base award of $12,469,561 for Grand Forks/East Grand Forks, N.D., Flood Control Project construction. Work will be performed in Grand Forks/East Grand Forks, N.D., and is expected to be completed by Nov. 8, 2003. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 250 bids solicited on April 4, 2001, and seven bids were received. The St. Paul U.S. Army Engineer District, St. Paul, Minn., is the contracting activity (DACW37-02-C-0004).
