NON-MILITARY - CIVIL WORKS (AFTER THE FACT)

Wildish Paving Company, Eugene, Ore., was awarded a $20,188,464 construction contract on Jan. 25 for modification to a temperature control intake tower. Work will be performed in Cougar Lake, Ore., and is expected to be completed by Jan. 12, 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. There were 260 bids solicited on Sept. 10, 2001, and three bids were received. The U.S. Army Engineer District, Portland Ore., is the contracting activity, (DACAW57-02-C-0007).

NAVY

Northrop Grumman Marine Systems, Sunnyvale, Calif., is being awarded $16,599,783 to exercise an option contained in previously awarded cost-plus-award-fee contract (N00030-01-C-0071) to provide for Ship, Submersible Guided Missile Nuclear (SSGN) Multiple-All-Up-Round Canister (MAC) Subsystem demonstration and validation (DEMVAL). Two contracts were awarded in May 2001 under full and open competition. As a result of a competitive down-selection, Northrop's option for DEMVAL is exercised. Work will be performed in Sunnyvale, Calif., and is expected to be completed by July 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Navy's Strategic Systems Programs, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.

International Transducer Corp., Santa Barbara, Calif., is being awarded $9,556,983 firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for the restoration of TR-321 transducers and DT-511/DT592 hydrophones for U.S. Navy platforms. Work will be performed in Santa Barbara, Calif., and is expected to be completed by February 2007. Contract funds in the amount of $300,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured and published in the Commerce Business Daily with three offers received. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Newport, R.I., is the contracting activity (N66604-02-D-1680).

ARMY

Chianelli Building Corp., Norfolk, Va., is being awarded a $13,171,000 firm-fixed-price contract for improvements to historical housing. Work will be performed in Langley Air Force Base in Hampton, Va., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. There were 75 bids solicited on Oct. 12, 2001, and three bids were received. The U.S. Army Engineer District, Norfolk, Va., is the contracting activity, (DACA65-02-C-0019).

Northop Grumman Corporation, Linthicum, Md., us being awarded a $9,800,000 delivery order as part of firm-fixed-price contract DAAB07-02-D-D001, for various vehicular intercommunication systems kits and components. Work will be performed in Linthicum and is expected to be completed by Dec. 20, 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the contract year. This is a sole source contract initiated on May 31, 2000. The U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command, Fort Monmouth, N.J., is the contracting activity.

Schafer Corporation of Chelmsford, Mass., is being awarded $650,000 of a $9,637,684 cost plus fixed fee increment as part of a $24,524,007 cumulative total for Development and Technology Demonstration of the Multiple Miniature Kill Vehicle (MMKV). Work will be performed in Huntsville, Ala., and is expected to be completed by Jun 30, 2003 for basic demonstration, and by Mar. 30, 2005 for overall demonstration. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Bids were solicited on the World Wide Web on Mar. 24, 2000, and 50 bids were received. The U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command is the contracting activity (DASG60-02-C-0017).

AIR FORCE

TRW Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Systems, Clearfield, Utah., is being awarded a $9,224,816 (estimated) contract modification to provide for the Central Data Acquisition and Analysis System Replacement Program on the ICBM Prime Integration contract. At this time, $8,464,758 of the funds has been obligated. This work will be complete December 2005. The Ogden Air Logistics Center, Hill Air Force Base, Utah, is the contracting activity (F42610-98-C-0001).

DEFENSE LOGISITICS AGENCY

Parker Hannifin, Irvine, Calif., is being awarded a $8,958,669 firm fixed price with indefinite quantity type contract for 13 National Stock Number Aircraft Parts for the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force and U.S. Marine Corps. This contract can be extended for three, three-year option periods. Performance completion date is expected to be September 28, 2004. Ten percent of the total amount will be funded this current fiscal year. There were 11 proposals and only 1 responded making it a sole source reference. The contracting activity is the Defense Supply Center Columbus, Columbus, Ohio (SP0740-01-D-9726)

AC Fabricated Products*, (In Hub Zone), Jackson, Ala., is being awarded a $7,157,395 fixed price with economic price adjustment and indefinite quantity type contract for a minimum of 2,400, maximum 5,500 each fabric assembly complete with cover, a minimum of 1,200 and maximum of 2,500 each of end Tent Sections, and a minimum of 700 each, maximum 1,500 each Half Liner System for the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force. This contract is for a base year. Performance completion date is expected to be July 28, 2003. Contract funds will expire by the end of the current fiscal year. There were 200 proposals solicited and 3 responded. The contracting activity is the Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa. (SP0100-02-D-6501)
