AIR FORCE

Honeywell, Inc., Albuquerque, N.M., is being awarded an $18,255,600 firm-fixed-price contract modification to provide for 495 common color multi-functional display units for the retrofit of all F-16 aircraft. At this time, the total amount of funds has been obligated. This work will be completed in April 2002. This effort supports foreign military sales to Singapore and Taiwan. The Ogden Air Logistics Center, Hill Air Force Base, Utah, is the contracting activity (F42620-02-C-0036).

Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, is being awarded a $5,547,934 cost-share contract to provide for the Integrated High Performance Turbine Engine Technology Program Phase III and the Coordinate Industry and University Research Program in Forces Response. At this time, $201,000 of the funds has been obligated. This work will be completed in Nov. 2006. Solicitation was announced via Program Research & Development Announcement in Jan. 2001, and 74 proposals were received. Negotiations were completed in March 2002. The locations of performance are Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, (70 percent), and Purdue University, West Lafayette, Ind. (30 percent). The Air Force Research Laboratory, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33615-01-C-2186).

ARMY

Metric Systems Corporation, St. Walton Beach, Fla., is being awarded a $17,433,890 modification to a $64,467,266 firm-fixed-price, cost-plus fixed-fee contract (DAAE07-00-C-M010) for the first program year option for 312 production kits for the Light Armored Vehicle Service Life Extension Program along with supporting test and data requirements. Work will be performed in Ft. Walton Beach, Fla., and is to be completed by Dec. 31, 2007. Funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were bids solicited on the World-Wide Web on Aug. 20, 1999, and two bids were received. The Tank and Automotive Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity.

Lockheed Martin Corporation, Missiles and Fire Control, Dallas, is being awarded a $11,363,922 firm-fixed-price contract for the purchase of 102 low -cost fire control panel retrofit kits. Work will be performed in Camden, Ariz., (78 percent) and Grand Prairie, Texas, (22 percent), and is to be completed by Feb. 28, 2005. Funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole source bid initiated on Oct. 19, 2001. The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (DAAH01-02-C-0057).

Mascaro Construction Company, L.P., Pittsburgh, is being awarded a $11,336,225 firm-fixed-price construction contract for 67,000 SF Academic Research Facility to accommodate increasing Military History Institute archival and research requirements at Carlisle Barracks, Carlisle, Pa. Work will be performed at Carlisle Barracks, and is to be completed by Oct.1, 2003. Funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 28 bids solicited on July 31, 2001, and four bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore, is the contracting activity (DACA31-02-C-0016).

TCI Architects Engineers Contractor, Inc., La Crosse, Wis., is being awarded a $8,185,001 firm-fixed-price contract for the construction-rehabilitation and maintenance on Mississippi River lock and dam nine. Work will be performed in Eastman, Wis., and is to be completed by April 15, 2005. Funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole-source bid initiated on Dec. 19, 2001. The U.S. Corps of Engineers, St. Paul, Minn., is the contracting activity (DACW37-02-C-0009).

Sechan Electronics, Lititz, Pa., is being awarded a $5,648,512 firm-fixed-price contract because the digital topographic support system-light is being developed to provide engineer topographic teams automated assistance in the performance of terrain analysis and production of topographic products. Work will be performed in Lititz, and is to be completed by April 15, 2003. Funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were seven bids solicited on Dec. 2, 2001, and two bids were received. The Corps of Engineers, Vicksburg, Pa., is the contracting activity (DACA42-02-C-0029).

Team Apache Systems LLC, Orlando, Fla., is being awarded a $5,630,000 cost-plus-incentive-fee contract for digit tads electronic control amplifier for the modernization target acquisition designation sight for the apache aircraft. Work will be performed in Orlando, and is to be completed by Nov. 30, 2002. Funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole source bid. The Tank and Automotive Command, Huntsville, Ala., is the contracting activity (DAAH23-01-C-0147).

Martin Electronics Incorporated, Perry, Fla., is being awarded a $6,761,183.57 modification to a $13,772,857.73 firm fixed price contract (DAAA09-02-C-0012) for 2,029,680 each M228 Hand Grenade Fuze in support of the M69 practice hand grenade and 68,849 each M213 hand grenade fuze in support of the M67 hand grenade. Work will be performed in Perry, Florida, and is expected to be completed by February 27, 2004. Funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Bids were solicited on the World Wide Web on Oct. 10, 2001, and two bids were received. The Operations Support Command, Fla., is the contracting activity.
