Hoar Construction, LLC, Birmingham, Ala., is being awarded a $16,367,000 firm-fixed-price contract for the construction of a two-story replacement medical and dental clinic at Naval Station, Mayport, Fla. The work also includes the construction of two new softball fields, a storage building and renovations to the existing concession stand. Ball field construction consists of new fields with fencing and dugouts. A jogging track is incorporated around the perimeter of the fields, which will be irrigated. Work will be performed in Mayport, and is expected to be completed by February 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. American Management Systems, Inc., Fairfax, Va., is receiving a $5,058,324 modification to a previously awarded cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery and indefinite-quantity contract (N00104-02-D-Q008) for management, technical, and professional services, studies, and implementation of specific initiatives for Secretary of the Navy, Naval Sea Systems Command, naval shipyards, Supervisor of Shipbuilding, and Military Sealift Command.
