NAVY

Dell Marketing L.P., Round Rock, Texas, is being awarded a $17,773,450 firm-fixed-price contract for 9,940 notebook computers. These computers are intended to stabilize and improve the current information technology infrastructure until the Marine Corps transitions to the Navy and Marine Corps Internet. Work will be performed in Round Rock, Texas, and is expected to be completed by June 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with three proposals solicited and three offers received. The Marine Corps Systems Command, Quantico, Va. is the contracting activity (M67854-99-A-4173-0096).

Whitesell-Green and W. G. Yates & Sons, Biloxi, Miss., is being awarded $6,546,000 for Task Order 0002 under an indefinite-delivery and indefinite-quantity design-build multiple award construction contract for the design and construction of a controlled humidity warehouse for the Army Reserve at the Naval Construction Battalion Center, Gulfport. Work will be performed in Gulfport, Miss., and is expected to be completed by September 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The basic contract was competitively procured with 64 proposals solicited, 16 offers received and award made on Sept. 27, 2001. The total contract amount is not to exceed $200,000,000, which includes the base period and four option years. The multiple contractors (four in number) may compete for task orders under the terms and conditions of the existing contract. Four offers were received for this task order. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Southern Division, North Charleston, S.C., is the contracting activity (N62467-99-D-0881).

ARMY

On May 3, 2002, ITT Industries Night Vision Division, Roanoke, Va., was awarded a $17,276,588 firm-fixed-price contract for enhanced third generation image intensification ground night vision devices and image intensifiers. Work will be performed in Roanoke, and is to be completed by May 2007. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were two bids solicited on Dec. 21, 2001, and two bids were received. The U. S. Army Communications-Electronics Command, Fort Monmouth, N.J. is the contracting activity (DAAB07-02-C-J009).

On May 3, 2002, Litton Electro-Optical Systems, Garland, Texas, was awarded a $12,303,571 firm-fixed-price contract for enhanced third generation image intensification ground night vision devices and image intensifiers. Work will be performed in Garland, Texas, and is to be completed by May 2007. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were two bids solicited on Dec. 21, 2001, and two bids were received. The U. S. Army Communications-Electronics Command, Fort Monmouth, N.J. is the contracting activity (DAAB07-02-C-J010).

On May 3, 2002, ITT Industries Night Vision Division, Roanoke, Va., was awarded a $9,403,056 firm-fixed-price for systems and indefinite delivery indefinite quantity for associated spares contract for enhanced third generation image intensification aviation night vision devices and associated spares. Work will be performed in Roanoke, and is to be completed by May 2007. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were two bids solicited on Dec. 21, 2001, and two bids were received. The U. S. Army Communications-Electronics Command, Fort Monmouth, N.J. is the contracting activity (DAAB07-02-C-J008).

On May 3, 2002, Watermark Environmental, Inc., Lowell, Mass., was awarded a $1,177,823 firm-fixed-price and base year plus four one-year options contract for operation and maintenance of groundwater treatment plant. Work will be performed in Lowell, Mass., and is expected to be completed by April 29, 2007. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were an unknown number of bids solicited via the World Wide Web on May 25, 2001, and five bids were received. The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District, Concord, Mass., is the contracting activity (DACW33-02-C-0012).

DEFENSE COMMISSARY AGENCY

Envision, a nonprofit agency under the Javits, Wagner, O'Day Act, of Wichita, Kan., was awarded an $8,419,719.27 Indefinite Delivery, Requirements Type contract for plastic grocery and produce bags on May 6, 2002. Work will be performed at Wichita, with delivery to multiple sites throughout the continental U.S., Alaska and Hawaii. The contract contains three option years with the final expected completion date as April 30, 2007. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. No other firms were solicited as the items identified in the solicitation were on the Committee Procurement List. The contracting activity is the Defense Commissary Agency, Contracting Business Unit, Fort Lee, Va., 23801-1800 (DeCA04-02-D-0007).
