NAVY

Ion Track Instruments,* Alexandria, Va., is being awarded a $35,958,788 fixed-price, indefinite-delivery and indefinite-quantity contract for Vapor Tracer two handheld explosive and narcotics detectors and associated spares for the U.S. Government. Work is to be performed in Wilmington, Mass., and is to be completed by May 2006. Funds in the amount of $13,838,952 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The contract was competitively procured and advertised on the Internet with one offer received. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Crane, Ind., is the contracting activity (N00164-02-D-8502).

Rogers Quinn (RQ) Construction, Inc.*, Bonsall, Calif., is being awarded $9,874,000 for firm-fixed-price Task Order 0006 under a multiple award construction contract for design and construction of an operations supply building at the Naval Special Warfare Center, Naval Amphibious Base, Coronado. Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif., and is expected to be completed by March 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The basic contract was competitively procured with 120 proposals solicited, 16 offers received and award made to multiple contractors on Jan. 29, 2001. The basic total contract amount is not to exceed $150,000,000 (base period and four option years). The multiple contractors (six in number) may compete for task orders under the terms and conditions of the existing contract. Five (5) proposals were received for this task order. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Southwest Division, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity (N68711-01-D-6220).

ARMY

Raytheon and Lockheed Martin, Orlando, Fla., is being awarded a $7,801,987 modification to a cost-plus award-fee contract (DAAH01-01-C-0027), for 73,083 hours of engineering services effort to support the Javelin Missile System. Work will be performed in Tucson, Ariz., (60 percent) and Orlando, (40 percent), and is to be completed by Jan.16, 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole-source contract initiated on June 14, 2000. The U. S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity.

Premier Professional Systems, Inc., Huntsville, Ala., is being awarded a $7,778,940.88 modification to a task order on multiple award task order contract for material, management, labor and travel for 7,330 vehicles, individual and key personnel training, application labor and travel for program year four applications for 2,648 vehicles for the M939 stabilization program. Premier will purchase all material but perform 2,648 applications. Work will be performed by traveling teams where the vehicles are located, which are at numerous CONUS/OCONUS sites and is expected to be completed by May 17, 2003. Of the total contract funds, $722,977.45 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were six bids solicited on Feb. 23, 1999, and five bids were received. The U. S. Army Tank and Automotive Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity.

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Provisiones Legrand, Inc.*, Puerto Nuevo, Puerto Rico, is being awarded a $6,239,060 firm-fixed-price with indefinite quantity and delivery type contract for prime vendor full line food and beverage support for U.S. Army, U.S. Navy and DoD customers in Puerto Rico. The performance completion date is scheduled for June 8, 2003. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 96 proposals solicited and four were responded. The contracting acitiviy is the Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, (SP0300-02-D-3035).
