DEFENSE INFORMATION SYSTEMS AGENCY

Dynamic Systems Inc.,* Los Angeles is being awarded a blanket purchase agreement for Sun Maintenance Warranty Services. The agreement is being awarded off of Dynamic Systems Inc.GSA scheduled contract, and allows for the issuance of task orders for warranty, maintenance, education, and professional services for Sun Equipment. A ceiling of $180,000,000 can be obligated over nine years with significant discounts for ordering by the DoD and Coast Guard. This was a sole source acquisition is conjunction with the Small Business Administrations program. The Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization, (DITCO), Scott Air Force Base, Ill., is the contracting activity (DCA200-02-A-5011).

NAVY

BAE Systems Applied Technologies, Rockville, Md., is being awarded a $15,667,034 cost-plus-fixed-fee, term, services contract to provide technical, engineering, and logistics services to support Lifetime Support Engineering (LSE) and In-Service Engineering for Radio Communications System and Command, Control, Communications, Computer and Intelligence (RCS and C4I) systems. The estimated level of effort for the base contract period is 339,360 man-hours. Work will be performed at the Naval Air Systems Command, Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, St. Inigoes, Md. (96 percent), Mayport, Fla. (two percent), and Chesapeake, Va., (two percent) and is to be completed by May 2003. Contract funds in the amount of $6,266,814 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured through a request for proposals with 15 proposals solicited with one offer received. The Naval Air Systems Command, Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, St. Inigoes is the contracting activity (N00421-02-C-3235).

Anthony Construction Co.,* Seattle is being awarded a $5,391,777 firm-fixed-price contract for design and construction of the Shore Intermediate Maintenance Facility at Naval Station Everett, Wash. Work will be performed in Everett and is to be completed by February 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via the Naval Facilities e-solicitation Web site, with four offers received. The Engineering Field Activity, Northwest, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Poulsbo, Wash., is the contracting activity (N44255-02-C-0005).

Northrop-Grumman Information Technology, Reston, Va., is being awarded a $5,292,602 cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery and indefinite-quantity contract for business process reengineering, activity based costing, technical support for technology insertion, virtual information systems support, and knowledge management and information management support for the U.S. Joint Forces Command in Norfolk, Va. The contract contains options, which if exercised, will bring the total cumulative value of the contract to $28,330,998. Work will be performed in Norfolk and is to be completed by May 2003. Contract funds will not expire by the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured through Navy Electronic Commerce On-line, with five offers received. The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Norfolk, Detachment Philadelphia is the contracting activity (N00140-02-D-1184).

DEFENSE LOGISITCS AGENCY

Lankford Sysco, LLC, Pocomoke, Md., is being awarded a $25,100,000 firm-fixed- priced with indefinite quantity and delivery type contract for prime vendor food and beverage support for U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force and U.S. Marine Corps. Work will be performed for DoD and non-DoD customers in North Carolina. This contract is exercising its second year option. Performance completion date is scheduled for May 31, 2003. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 140 proposals solicited with five responses. The contracting activity is the Defense Supply Center Philadelphia (SP0300-02-D-2978).

ARMY

General Dynamics Government Systems Corp., Taunton, Mass., is being awarded an $11,070,157 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract (DAAB07-94-C-N853), for common hardware and software items for the Project Manager Army Tactical Command and Control Systems computers and associated peripherals for battlefield commanders. Work will be performed in Taunton and is to be completed by April 10, 2005. Of the total contract funds $271,067 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 50 bids solicited on April 21, 1994 and three bids were received. The U. S. Army Communications-Electronics Command, Fort Monmouth, N.J. is the contracting activity.

On May 28, 2002, M.I.C. Industries Inc., Reston, Va., was awarded a $14,000,000 firm-fixed-price supply contract for procurement of Ultimate Building Machines. Work will be performed in Egypt, and is to be completed by Nov. 28, 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on May 1, 2002. The Transatlantic Programs Center, Winchester, Va., is the contracting activity (DACA78-02-C-0018).

On May 28, 2002, Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co., Akron, Ohio was awarded a $15,833,454 firm-fixed-price requirements contract for 47,694 pneumatic tires. Work will be performed in Topeka, Kan., and is to be completed by Aug. 30, 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were two bids solicited on April 10, 2002, and two bids were received. The U. S. Army Tank and Automotive Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity (DAAE07-02-D-T076).

On May 28, 2002, Speegle Construction Inc., Niceville, Fla., was awarded a $6,497,000 firm-fixed-price contract for construction of a modern outpatient clinic addition and alteration of existing space within Hurlburt Field Medical and Dental Clinic. Work will be performed at Hurlburt Field and is to be completed by June 10, 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 68 bids solicited on Jan. 8, 2002, and five bids were received. The U. S. Army Engineer District, Mobile, Ala., is the contracting activity (DACA01-02-C-0013).

On May 28, 2002, Lockheed Martin Corp., Grand Prairie, Texas was awarded a $16,895,000 modification to a firm-fixed price contract (DAAH01-98-C-0093), for 44 block IA Army Tactical Missile System (Army TACMS) variant (Unitary) M48 Guided Missile and Launching Assemblies and Flight Test Support. Work will be performed in Dallas and is to be completed by Dec. 31, 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole-source contract initiated on Sept. 12, 1996. The U. S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity.

On May 28, 2002, Northrop Grumman, Fairfax, Va., was awarded a $12,322,148 increment as part of a $72,534,719 cost-plus award-fee contract for services to support the Defense Threat Reduction Agency chief of staff, counter-terrorism program and information management. Work will be performed in Alexandria, Va., and is to be completed by July 17, 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole-source contract initiated on Feb. 7, 2002. The Defense Threat Reduction Agency, Fort Belvoir, Va., is the contracting activity (DTRA01-00-C-0088).
