NAVY

General Microwave Corp., Farmingdale, N.Y., is being awarded a not to exceed $15,337,840 firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery and indefinite-quantity contract for a not to exceed quantity of 500 RF 1 Module Assembly. The RF 1 Module Assembly is one of the modules used in the AN/ULQ-21 electronic counter measures (ECM) set, which provides realistic simulation of present and projected ECM threats for the purpose of evaluating ECM capabilities of weapon systems and training weapon system operators. Work will be performed in Farmingdale, N.Y., and is expected to be completed by June 2008. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 26 proposals solicited and two offers received. The Naval Air Systems Command, Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, Pt. Mugu, Calif. is the contracting activity (N68936-02-D-0018).

Lockheed Martin, Naval Electronics and Surveillance Systems, Moorestown, N.J., is being awarded a $14,263,415 cost-plus-award-fee, level-of-effort modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-98-C-5197) to exercise an option for an additional 156,031 hours of engineering services for the performance of AEGIS Combat System Baseline Upgrades and Critical Experiments. Work will be performed in Moorestown, N.J., and is expected to be completed by March 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.

ARMY

Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation, Stratford, Conn., was awarded on May 31, 2002, a $10,507,500 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract for overhaul of the main rotor blade in support of the Black Hawk Helicopter. Work will be performed at Shelton, Conn., and is expected to be completed by July 30, 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole source contract initiated on May 9, 2002. The U. S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama is the contracting activity (N00383-99-D-016N).
