AIR FORCE

The McDonnell Douglas Corp., Long Beach, Calif., is being awarded a $70,000,000 contract modification to serve as the final settlement and payment of the negotiated agreement set forth in the memorandum of agreement dated October 2000, for Lot X (FY98), Lot XI (FY99) and Lot XII (FY00). This effort supports C-17 Aircraft. The total amount of funds has been obligated. The Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-96-C-2059, P00136).

DEFENSE LOGISITCS AGENCY

Seminole Energy Services*, Tulsa, Okla., was awarded $13,069,213 fixed-price with economic-price adjustment type contract for line items 2004 (952,203 dth), 2005-1 (1,005,487 dth), 2040 (695,364 dth), 3004 (1,624,755 dth), 3019 (479,085 dth), and 3039 (527,100 dth) for the U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force and federal civilian agencies. Work will also be performed in Arkansas, Colorado and Missouri. Performance completion date is scheduled for Sept. 30, 2005. Contract funds will not expired at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 186 proposals solicited and 34 responded. The contracting activity is the Defense Energy Support Center, Fort Belvoir, Va., (SP0600-02-D-7713).

ARMY

On July 8, 2002, Defense Group Inc., Alexandria, Va., was awarded a $3,000,000 increment as part of a $7,420,984 cost-plus-award-fee contract for chemical biological defense restoration of the Operations Advanced Concept Technology Demonstration Program Management, scientific, engineering, and technical support. Work will be performed in Alexandria, Va., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole-source contract initiated on June 14, 2002. The Defense Threat Reduction Agency, Fort Belvoir, Va., is the contracting activity (DTRA01-02-C-0057).

On July 8, 2002, Great Lakes Dredge and Dock Co., Oak Brook, Ill., was awarded a $4,900,000 firm-fixed-price continuing contract with a cumulative total of $20,072,385 for dredging of Townsend Inlet to Hereford Inlet Shore Protection. Work will be performed in Cape May, N.J., and is to be completed by Dec. 31, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 64 bids solicited on April 30, 2002, and two bids were received. The U. S. Army Engineer District, Philadelphia is the contracting agency (DACW61-02-C-0039).

NAVY

Korte Construction Co., Highland, Ill., is being awarded $5,164,046 for Task Order 4004 under a firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery and indefinite-quantity task order construction contract for the Special Purpose Munitions Engineering Facility at Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane, Ind. The work is for the construction of an engineering facility, an explosive operations building and a high explosive magazine for a total of 19,080 square feet. The project also includes the demolition of building 2964 and 18 magazines, which total approximately 17,970 square feet. Work will be performed in Crane, Ind., and is to be completed by July 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The basic contract was competitively procured with 51 proposals solicited, nine offers received and award made to multiple contractors on Feb. 19, 1999. The basic total contract amount is not to exceed $75,000,000 (base period and four option years). The multiple contractors (four in number) may compete for task orders under the terms and conditions of the existing contract. Three offers were received for this task order. The Officer in Charge of Construction, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane is the contracting activity (N68950-98-D-0129).
