AIR FORCE

ITT Industries, Systems Division, Cape Canaveral, Fla., is being awarded a $21,471,885 cost-plus-award-fee, level-of-effort, cost-reimbursable and firm-fixed-price contract modification to provide for the performance of eight sustainment projects to support the Space Lift Range System. These projects are as follows: coherent signal processing, data transfer to ocean surveillance system, high frequency command and control, logistics altitude 24-inch telescope upgrade, microwave radio replacement, removal of lead air filled cables, site computer replacement, and FOV-1 integration. ITT will perform this effort at ITT Industries, Systems Division, Cape Canaveral, Fla. (38%), and Vandenburg Air Force Base, Calif. (62%). At this time, $22,917,922 of the funds has been obligated. This work will be complete by November 2004. Negotiations were completed August 2002. The Space and Systems Missile Systems Center, Peterson Air Force Base, Colo., is the contracting activity (F04701-01-C-0001, P00039).

ARMY

SpawGlass Contractors Inc., Selma, Texas, is being awarded a $17,127,000 firm-fixed-price contract for three new dormitory facilities for Air Education and Training Command. Work will be performed at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas, and is expected to be completed by Sept. 20, 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 20 bids solicited on March 8, 2002, and 15 bids were received. The U. S. Army Engineer District, Fort Worth, Texas, is the contracting activity (DACA63-02-C-0017).

Urban Associates LP, El Paso, Texas, is being awarded a $6,667,238 firm-fixed-price contract for construction of a professional development center. Work will be performed at White Sands Missile Range, N.M., and is expected to be completed by Feb. 10, 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 109 bids solicited on April 3, 2002, and three bids were received. The U. S. Army Engineer District, Fort Worth, Texas, is the contracting activity (DACA63-02-C-0019).

Alvarez Engineering Inc., Orange, Calif., is being awarded a $6,393,907 firm-fixed-price contract for a fire/crash rescue station. Work will be performed at March Air Force Base, Calif., and is expected to be completed by March 1, 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were an unknown number of bids solicited via the World Wide Web on June 28, 2002, and five bids were received. The U. S. Army Engineer District, Los Angeles, Calif., is the contracting activity (DACA09-02-C-0006).

NAVY

Raytheon Co., Naval & Maritime Integrated Systems, Portsmouth, R.I., is being awarded a $15,367,271 firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery and indefinite-quantity contract for the ordering of up to 350 U.S. Navy and U.S. Coast Guard AN/SPS-73(V) surface search radar (SSR) systems plus components, upgrade kits and data. The AN/SPS-73(V) SSR is a Class B, X-Band radar which provides navigation, surface search and surveillance with limited detection of low flying aircraft. The AN/SPS-73(V) Radar System is a surface search and navigation radar designed to replace the AN/SPS-64(V), AN/SPS-55(V) and LN-66 Radar Systems. This contract includes options which, if exercised, would bring the total cumulative value of this contract to $98,444,993. Work will be performed in Portsmouth, R.I. (56%), and Windber, Pa. (44%), and is expected to be completed by December 2007. Contract funds in the amount of $6,060,951 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity (N00024-02-D-4000).

General Dynamics C4 Systems, Taunton, Mass., is being awarded a $14,735,000 firm-fixed-price modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract (M67854-99-C-2059) to upgrade 361 production and fielded tactical data network servers, data distribution system. Work will be performed in Taunton, Mass, and is expected to be completed by September 2003. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Marine Corps Systems Command, Quantico, Va., is the contracting activity.

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Sysco Food Services of Seattle, Kent, Wash., is being awarded a $9,300,000 firm-fixed-price with indefinite-quantity type contract for full line food distribution for the U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, Job Corps and U.S. Coast Guard in the Anchorage and Fairbanks areas of Alaska. This contract is the second of four one-year option periods. Performance completion date is expected to be Aug. 23, 2003. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 30 proposals solicited, and three responded. The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SP0300-02-D-2988).
