Raytheon Systems Co., Tucson, Ariz., is being awarded a $26,993,507 cost-plus-award-fee contract for the development effort to modify a Block IV Tactical Tomahawk missile with torpedo tube launch capability, qualify a torpedo tube launch capsule, change missile software and develop a missile modification kit that will create a torpedo tube launch-capable all-up-round, universally usable by both the United States and the United Kingdom's attack submarine fleets. The all-up-round development costs will be shared 50/50 between the United States and the United Kingdom. Work will be performed in Tucson, Ariz., and is expected to be completed by December 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md. is the contracting activity (N00019-02-C-3072).


MWH Americas Inc., Mather Air Force Base, Calif., is being awarded a $5,772,798 indefinite-quantity /indefinite-delivery contract to provide for environmental programs and projects at Site Other Than -10, consisting of ten radiation-training sites (Training Site-1 through Training Site-8). Training Site-5 through Training Site-8 are inactive and require remediation. The environmental projects will include treatment, removal and disposal of low-level thorium 232 contamination soils at Training Site-5, Training Site-6, TE-7 and Training Site-8. The Air Force can issue delivery orders totaling up the maximum amount indicated above, though actual requirements may necessitate less than that amount. The locations of performance are MWH Contractors Inc., Broomfield, Colo., and Green Logistics LLC, Lakepoint, Utah. Total funds have been obligated. This work will be complete by February 2004. Solicitation began June 2002, and negotiations were completed by August 2002. The 311th Human Systems Wing, Brooks Air Force Base, Texas, is the contracting activity (F41624-97-D-8013-0080).


Valley Apparel LLC*, Knoxville, Tenn., is being awarded a $5,163,500 firm-fixed-price with indefinite-quantity and indefinite-delivery type contract for shipboard cold weather jackets for the U.S. Navy. Performance completion date is expected to be July 19, 2003. Contract funds will expire this current fiscal year. There were 28 proposals solicited, and seven responded. The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SP0100-02-D-4026).
