ARMY

General Dynamics Land Systems Inc., Sterling Heights, Mich., is being awarded a $140,897,426 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract for 100 M1A1 hardware kits. Work will be performed in Lima, Ohio, and is to be completed by Nov. 30, 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole-source contract initiated on March 4, 2002. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity (DAAE07-00-C-N001).

BellSouth Telecommunications Inc., Atlanta is being awarded a $666,487 increment as part of a $15,995,692 firm-fixed-price contract for commercial communications services to supply dial tone and local loop connections, and repair and maintenance services and ownership of the outside cable plant (local loop) equipment. Work will be performed at Redstone Arsenal, Ala., and is to be completed by Oct. 31, 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole source contract initiated on Oct. 17, 2002. The U.S. Army G-4 Acquisition Office, Fort Huachuca, Ariz., is the contracting activity (DABL03-03-C-1001).

CORRECTION

Contract DAAE07-01-C-S001 announced November 5, 2002 incorrectly listed the amount of action as $20,650.598.30. The contract announcement should read as follows:

AM General Corp., Sound Bend, Ind., is being awarded a $20,615,114.73 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract for 268 High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle. Work will be performed in South Bend and is to be completed by Dec. 31, 2007. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole-source contract initiated on July 17, 2000. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity (DAAE07-01-C-S001).

NAVY

DeWolff, Boberg and Associates, Richardson, Texas, is being awarded a $9,900,000 firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery and indefinite-quantity contract. Under this effort, the contractor will provide efficiency management and productivity consulting services to update current Naval Air Systems Command developmental testing and engineering processes and production support and platform coordination of avionics programs. Work will be performed in Patuxent River, Md., and is to be completed in September 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00421-03-D-0009).

AIR FORCE

Rockwell Collins, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, is being awarded a $5,026,814 firm-fixed-price contract and Raytheon Systems Co., El Segundo, Calif., is being awarded a $5,024,500 firm-fixed-price contract to provide First Article Test equipment software, training package development, and data, in support of the Defense Advanced Global Positioning System Receivers (DAGR). DAGR will provide authorized DoD Federal Civilian, and Foreign Military Sales users a Precise Positioning Service hand-held, dual frequency receiver that employs next-generation tamper resistant security module technology. Rockwell Collins will perform its effort in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The Raytheon effort will be performed by Raytheon, El Segund (28 percent), and Teledyne Industries, Inc., Lewisburg, Tenn., (72 percent). Total funds have been obligated. This work will be completed by May 2003. Solicitation began in April 2002 and negotiations were completed in September 2002. The Headquarters Space and Missile Systems Center, Los Angeles Air Force Base, Calif., is the contracting activity (F04701-02-C-0011, F04701-02-C-0012).
